Daniel Daly completes Richmond coaching staff

Remember we had an assistant a few years back by the name of Brendan McCartney, who's only credentials were being the coach of Ocean Grove. He's been at Geelong ever since he left us, and look at how shit they've been! It is far more important to have someone who can actually think about the...

    It's Collins not Connors!!!

He also spelt Pettifer's name wrong. Only a small thing, but sucks any credibility out of what you've written.

Why the Tigers must have a clean out

I presume you mean the other GM... Greg Miller?;)

Exciting day on Sun V the Demons.

It was only a few years back that we were as bad a rabble as Melbourne... and the week before, Geelong had a shock loss to the 'Roos down at Kardinia Park. The following week, it was a springboard game for them when they came up against the might of the Tigers! 160 points later... I've...

    Rookie Robin's need for speed

Aaron Davey is listed at 177cm and 72kg's and is 25 years old - time enough to pack on some extra muscle. He is the prototype for the modern forward pocket and it seems Nahas has the goods to follow this lead. Interesting both came to prominence as a small forward at Port Melbourne.

    Our zone team

Didn't Hawthorn also have parts of the Mornington Peninsula? Leigh and Kelvin Matthews, Michael Moncrieff, Dermott Brereton and Chris Mew all came from around there.

how do you richmond big footy posters do it!?..........

I somehow managed to break the addiction a number of years back! I used to manage the balance between work (I was on a PC all day!) and reading/posting on BigFooty. I then got heavily involved with a major issue at work (that was in the papers daily for a number of months) which became all...

The Whole Is Greater Than The Sum Of The Parts

Shannon Byrne, although a lot shorter than JON, nonetheless has the same ability to either make the wrong decision or mis-kick and cough the ball up. Still, he has a premiership medallion, so he doesn't cop it the same as JON.

    Jordan McMahon

Even better still... Peter Street and Jade Rawlings for Nathan Brown!

Is it just me or is everyone else loving watching Freo implode ? (From Tigers Board)

Re: Is it just me or is everyone else loving watching Freo implode ? Never mind the topic of this thread, I am just genuinely excited to finally see the work 'drivel' spelt and used correctly on this site! Take that, Mark Robinson!

White our most improved younger player

It was obvious watching him play in the opening round for Coburg that he had put on a significant amount of bulk. Previously, he had the build (and hair) of a Hobbitt and was too easily pushed around. Now he has enough strength to stand in and break tackles and also break a line through great...

    Matty White appreciation

He is a lot stronger in the body this year. He was always quick, but lookked and was built like a hobbitt which didn't suit at AFL level. His extra strength enables him to now break tackles.

Have we learnt anything from Geelong?

What are you basing this on? It is no surprise to anyone that you must get your act together off the field before success will flow on. If you bother with even some cursory analysis of what we are doing off the field, you will see that this part of our club is doing very well. From a basket...

    Great Music Concerts

I saw Arcade Fire the week before last at the Forum. They are an amazing band live... 10 muso's on stage, playing probably 30 different instruments (not all at the same time!) and with the muso's changing around (ie., the drummer also plays guitar and keyboards!). I saw AC/DC at the very...

    Nicest/Rudest Richmond Players

I took my son, Ryan, down to a practice match at Kardinia Park about 6-7 years ago - this would have made him about 5 years old. It was a bizarre setup where the senior game was on before the reserves and we were standing in the players race watching the magoos go around. Scotty Turner came up...

    Richmond 2007 National Draft

What ever happened to that skinny little defender that they through to the wolves? Zac Dawson? Got torn a new one by Anfony Rocca and has barely registered anything since!

    Matt Rendell,tool of the draft!

Rendell did shit himself though! He was so relieved when Fonzie let him off!

    Mitch Morton

Benny / Michael Gale Duncan / Andrew Kellaway Joel / Patrick Bowden Justin / Michael Pickering ... Mitch / Cale Morton?
  26. CJH

What number will McMahon and Morton wear?

:o Though, in a way, I'm pleased that I'm not intimately familiar with the numbers of players from other clubs!

IF we started trade week again...

We wanted Port to give us pick 28 AND upgrade our pick 19 to pick 16. Port didn't want to downgrade their first rounder.
  28. CJH

IF we started trade week again...

By and large, the trade period is for shifting either fringe or problem players around. (Judd is the obvious exception). You are not going to build a premiership team during this week. All things considered, we did OK. Added some (sorely needed) skill without too great a cost.
  29. CJH

    Jordan McMahon

You cannot have a side that has 22 hard ball players in it. You would end up with a team that is too slow and turns the ball over.
  30. CJH

    well done tigers

There is one fundamental difference between McMahon and Fiora... When McMahon kicks it, it hits the designated target. Too many of Fiora's end up being up and under helicopter kicks. McMahon is a Bulldogs best 22 regular in a side where there is a lot of competition for his position.
