Yes it's still 3 but I wouldn't hold my breath on many actually getting cleared to play by the AFL teams. There always seems to be some sort of injury or end of season operation that stops a lot of players participating in SANFL finals.
From a North view where it has happened in the past few...
Maybe the other coaches don't, but Jarman isn't exactly underpaid for a job that is part-time. Jarman has been good for the club since he took over what was a rabble in 2003 but I think he has gotten all he can out of the playing group and now is the time to bring in someone new.
From what...
Younie has had a bit of an up and down season this year, much like the whole team, but he is one of the most important players for the Roosters without a doubt as well as being the vice captain.
Heath has been a great clubman since he came over and has stuck with the club when they were...
That's not all they are trying to change though, it's all part of the plan to rebrand the SANFL as AFL South Australia to fall into line with the other states. The AFL are pressuring the SANFL to change it's name, structure and under age competitions by offering more money if they do.
I've...
This was from Norths reserves coach on the official website:
Scott's Best Players - Armstrong (Tony, just needs to stay consistent if he can do that a league call up is not too far away).
He plays well for 1 or 2 games but then seems to go missing for a couple of games. Hopefully he can...
A lot to like about Otten today. He was clearly South's best racking up plenty of possessions through the middle and also getting forward to kick a couple of goals. South would have been a lot worse than they were today without Otten.
Mackay didn't stand out as much as Otten but he was still...
Damon was very high in North's best again today. He totally controlled the game from CHB setting up most of North's attacking plays while keeping Dale Ellis out of the game.
Lonie will probably get bog in the paper for his usual 30+ mainly meaningless and often ineffectual disposals across...
I think it's mostly due to a lack of consistency, he just can't seem to string 2-3 good games together. I'd like to see him on the wing for the league side at some stage this year as he runs hard both ways, but with Lonie racking up his 30 mainly meaningless touches across the half-back line...
The only trouble with Armstrong so far is his consistency. He will play 1 or 2 great games, then be below par for the next 1 or 2. If he can string some good games together in the ressies I think he will get a spot in the league team, although he has some tough competition in Ivens who will...
I wonder how many of the 5596 actually paid to get in. Everywhere you looked for the week leading up to the game there were free passes being given away, and after all that there was still a disappointing crowd.
Has been very good this year, playing reserves for North Adelaide and kicking around 4 goals a game. Listed as 193cm and 84kg and has a good pair of hands.
The most impressive of North's contingent this year from what I've seen has been Phil Davis. 193cm 84kg key forward who has been kicking around 4 goals every week in the reserves, looks a really good prospect.
Jarman has been very slow to change the side because it was mainly some of the senior players that were struggling, but after the dismal effort against Norwood it was finally time to bite the bullet and shake up the side.
The supporters were calling for this a few weeks ago, although Marlon...
I'm actually surprised Ken McGregor got that close. Unfortunately for your thread title John that was not Motlop's first kick/goal as North were kicking to the other end in the 1st quarter when he achieved that feat.
White had his worst game for about a month, he was very quiet at CHF and was moved to CHB in the last quarter where he did not see a lot of action as North were dominating.
Lonie was Lonie, got a bit of the ball but was not as damaging as he has been at times this year.
Marlon finished...
That's right I forgot Sturt had no fans when they were the competition easy beats winning 8 spoons in a row, going winless in a season and about to fold, yet now they go around posting crap about other teams being the shittest ever.
