Specifically, picking up pick 8 (Ben Reid) and Medhurst for Tarrant, and having the foresight to identify that having Dawes on the sidelines for a year was a small price to pay at pick 28. Quite happy with Nathan Brown at 10 as well.

I doubt it. Between March and August he represents continued depth in forward pressure, which is an important strategic area for us. If he's surpassed in this respect by more than one player over the summer, he's probably going to have limited opportunities, though.

I thought the most impressive thing about Wellingham's game last night was his composure.

Selwood clearly ducks more often than you would want to see in a player of his ability, and it's a blemish on his game. That said, he also cleverly forces players to go high by changing direction (through his torso, not dropping the head), which either busts him loose or draws the free.

Varcoe is an excellent player. Cool head, amazing endeavour.
