Vale Chris Cornell

Shadow face Blowing smoke and talking wind Lost my grip Fell too far to start again A sudden snake Found my shape and tells the world Remember this Remember everything is just black Or burning sun And I hope it's a sweet ride Sleep tight for me Sleep tight for me I'm gone Warm and sweet...

Slash & Andrew Stockdale - By The Sword

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_vK6_gr9RE Pure Zeppelin wannabe stuff, but this is actually pretty great, imo.

New Rammstein album

Waidmanns Heil is my new workout anthem. Love B****** too. Till must have been spitting blood while recording that vocal track. :D Völkerball is one of the best live album/dvd's ever.

The Killers - Day & Age

I think it's a great album. Probably my second favorite of '08 behind Saturnalia by Gutter Twins. It has the musical growth they displayed in Sam's Town without the bloated Queen gaudiness that dragged that album down. More mature songwriting, and the melodies slowly but surely lodge...

New GnR material leaks

Both links have the same three songs. If The World, Rhiad and This I love. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3SHPMYX9 http://www.sendspace.com/file/a5ko82

Tom Morello VS Slash

I like both, but Slash has more work that will stand the test of time. They've been playing together quite a bit lately. This Kick Out The Jams was pretty cool. <param...

QOTSA best album

Love them all, but Songs For The Deaf is probably the most consistent. Love Grohl's drumming, too - the last minute of A Song For The Dead is intense.

Best song of the year so far in 2007

Misfit Love - QOTSA

Your Album of 2007.... so far

Era Vulgaris and Libertad.

Velvet Revolver - Libertad

Finally found a torrent. There are no real stand-out tracks like Slither was on Contraband, but as a whole the album is a lot stronger than the first. Less filler. Sounds more 60's/70's influenced than Contraband, which was grungier. Best tracks - Out The Door, Just 16, Let It Roll, Mary...

Gunners in Perth

The lack of Slash was telling on Sunday. The NIN reject with the beard was really quite atrocious. I enjoyed the show, and it was great to finally see Axl, but I definitely didn't see Guns N' Roses.

Gunners in Perth

Started on time. Just a bit past 11:00. Bach was unintentionally hilarious. His one stage move consisted of spinning his mic above his head furiously. :D

Gunners in Perth

The first four songs were great and so were Nightrain and Paradise City at the end. Apart form that, I thought it was an average show. The three guitars (why?) seemed to morph into one giant wall of sound and buried Axl's vocals a lot of the time. The solos were appalling. Too many and...

Velvet Revolver cover Psycho Killer

JB HIFI. It has the first single, Just 16, Psycho Killer and a live video of a Contraband song. I found a live performance of Psycho Killer on youtube. Slash has gotten fat. iPDvqQvknIw

Velvet Revolver cover Psycho Killer

It's on the 'melody and tyranny' EP that they just released. It's ok - prefer the original. The EP is worth the $5.00 though. There's a track called 'Just 16' which is an absolute ripsorter - better than anything from the first album. It's like the perfect combination of GN'R and STP. I can't...

Clint Eastwood joins Velvet Revolver

Nah, just Weiland. He's hardly convincing during that shoot-out. ;) Been doing some reading and it seems they'll be touring with Alice In Chains in the US and Canada later this year: http://www.fmqb.com/Article.asp?id=411884 It'd be great if they toured Australia together as well.

Clint Eastwood joins Velvet Revolver

gAssTKsT5qI This is the funniest music video since Knights Of Cydonia. Slash doing his solo while a man burns to death behind him is particularly good. I guess this is their new single? Sounds good. Like Weiland's vocals during the bridge.

Queens of the Stone Age- Era Vulgaris

Misfit Love. :thumbsu: Great album. Might be their best yet.

Chinese Democracy leakage

Wow, Chinese Democracy (the song) is pretty good. The rest are pretty bad.
23. B

Queens of the Stone Age- Era Vulgaris

Sick, Sick, Sick is the best song I've heard in ages. "A lick of the lips and a grip on your hips" :thumbsu:

Guns N Roses to tour Australia

Both those songs are completely ordinary. Nearly everything from Contraband is better. Like I say, it's pretty clear why the album isn't going to be released and why Axl is still playing AFD tunes at his shows ... the new stuff just isn't that good. And how about these ticket prices, btw...
25. B

Guns N Roses to tour Australia

Izzy wrote at least half of AFD. The only GnR album worth a damn. And Duff wrote It's So Easy, their best song. Anyway, I'm still going.

Chinese Democracy circus starts up again

Just Another Sunday - Demo from AFD era Silkworms - Bootleg from Chinese Democracy tour. Absolutely rubbish song. Oklahmoa - Fake Crash Diet - Demo from UYI era Sex, Drugs and Rock & Roll - Fake Shadow of your Love - Hollywood Rose song Dust in the Wind - Live bootleg from UYI tour...

Army of Anyone

Big fan of the Deleo's, but I just found this album to be really bland. Richard Patrick does nothin' for me. Contraband had a lot more energy and spark, imo.
