From what I have seen Elton Johns Wig you hit the cellar regardless if you have hit any mark :p

Not that I am criticizing because it was behavior like this that made you a Premiership Ruckman, hopeful some of your behavior has rubbed off on TRUMAN#1 and he will hook in at Kittens and maybe just maybe reach your rucking heights
If he wants to recover from the depths to which he has plummted, he needs to change his name.......again

I just watched TRUMAN#1 at the Hippodrome going through his ruck training, it could be awhile before he gets back to his rucking best

I haven't even played 1 game of Qooty with this username.

You just watch I have the SIM and Qooty gods fooled.

Over The Post already knows all this stuff, but I found it fascinating:

this was more than fascinating Brak... it was also educational
Lol! That's been on my youtube homepage for a week, I'm determined to not watch it because the thumbnail is so cringe.
Postie - Definitely watch this if you have any interest in Steam and/or how things work. It really is awesome.

------------

10 year old Mrs T had discussions with grandfather about how is it possible that such a heavy piece of equipment can be pushed by water... and more importantly we argued lots over 'how does a straight engine stay on curved tracks ?' and I'd even use his model trains to demonstrate how 'its not possible!'

Years later, I'm at a Steam Fest in Maitland (near where we live) arguing discussing the same points with one of the show exhibitors.

If only they had this video back then - they could have just said 'equalisers' and saved lots of time.

I have also had the privilege of being a stoker (for a bit) and driven a 38 class - well I got to sit in the drivers seat for a few moments while travelling - that's gotto count!

Fond memories Braklet - thanks for sharing mmmwwwaahhh :blueheart: :purpleheart:

Shit, that was nearly 30 years ago now :( Me and my 5" gauge steamer.

That was at Korumburra around 2005, a full day driving experience. Did shunting and drove the goods train from Korumburra to Leongatha and back.

And this was me in 1979, driving a two-week-old DF around the loop on an excursion. :thumbsu:

Back then I was a volunteer at the Glenbrook Vintage Railway in Auckland, and spent most weekends in the workshop or on passenger duties and occasionally firing one of the two steam locos.

Closest I've been to working steam locomotives is Travel Town:

Caveat: none of the commercial locos ran when I've been there, but I always found all the valves and levers and mechanical goodness absolutely fascinating. That's why I enjoyed the YT vid.

Although I'd ridden the miniature steam train ride a few times years ago. So OTP's pic of the miniature loco stuck in my head.

Has been a great pre-season training week with the whole team back and working hard as we make our launch on our 3rd premiership cup in only 6 seasons.

Time to relax now in the Maximus Turbous Bath House and enjoy all the privilege's that come with being Old Boy's.

I LOVE STEAMFEST😍

I’m the sort of guy who will go to steam events and historic airshows while overseas.
If there happens to be a brass band playing while I’m looking at steam locomotives - even better.

I guess The Fates knew what they were doing when they made me an OOB.
