Some people use things like bent spoons to shovel coal, but its easy to make a proper one, and you can buy them if you're lazy.

I was right?!? You really do shovel the coal with tiny scale shovels!

So this means you have to pre-process the coal that you buy, to crush it into the right scale-appropriate size, in order to shovel it into your little fireboxen.

I love this shit.

I will also tell you now that if I ever dabble in serious model steam power, that I'm using Diesel oil and avoiding that mess.
