My son went to a festival and camped next to George for some days, said he was a great bloke. No airs and graces at all, as you'd sort of expect.

He has 3 medals around his neck and he deserves them all. An important element in our resurrection, if an unfashionable one.

Great story, much better than some of the spoon fed players going round.

Triple premiership Tiger - thought I'd never be able to say that again about anyone under the age of about 70.

We all know George's flaws and foibles with ball in hand ... could've doubled his goal tally to be fair. And while he'll be remembered by those who want to poke the tiger for that part of his game, I'll remember him most as a true Tiger who extracted the maximum possible out of a restricted skill set, and whose contributions to our three recent flags was actually pretty significant. Played taller than he was, played faster than he was, and played stronger than he was.

Congratulations on a fantastic career Richmond Man.
