He honestly wasn't that bad tonight, was serviceable, which is better then he has normally been this year
Did you see his shot for goal that missed everything? If that was a close game, that mistake is a howler. It's forgotten because the rest of the guys got it done.

He is not good enough for AFL, tonight confirmed it again. Why is he the sub?

did you see lynch, bolton miss easier ones or broad give away 2 goals by total panic when a cool head was required, did you see shorty give away another 50 by getting sucked in....again....???
enjoy the win and understand 50 odd other stuff ups were made and have faith in dimma and his premiership success at 4 clubs. George was a good sub choice tonight.

George played his role well tonight as the sub, half a dozen hyenas need to back off him. he is handy Depth when he doesn't try and bite off more than he can chew.

You say good when 'not biting off more than he can chew' yet defend his banana shocker that he routinely f**** up.
Isn't that the very definition of biting off more than you can chew??
The guy never learns.
He was ok ... but the same bumbles, mishaps and deluded sense of being able to do the miraculous when he struggles badly with basics.
Move him on.

Difference is they deliver positives that all outweigh their negatives. Castagna doesn't.

not on tonight tho.

even his mung kick/miss wasn't a turnover and lynch goaled 10 seconds later

and george crunched with 3 strong tackles that were effective and 8 other touches were tidy...came on when scores where close to level pegging, not bad for under half a game. not in our 22 next week but should hold his spot as one of the 3 emergencies as solid depth.

George was good tonight

Apart from his attempted banana that went completely in the wrong direction… but that was just to wind up bigfooty
These moments are funny when you win by 40

Do you think he will still line up with VFL side against Preston today as I am going down there.

MRJ played the day after a sub game but I guess they have to catch red eye to get home and he will be given the game off.

Oh well I have Aarts to cheer on. He is good value to watch at VFL actually.

Since he's in another state to play half a game, I doubt he'll make it.

Doubt it. Played a fair bit and flying home from Adelaide it'd be a tough ask.

All well and good if were pumping a side and he comes in

Just wait for the next game when its tight and he has the ball in his hands. Absolute liability

Posters like to bandy the words 'downhill skier' around on the Richmond board.
George to a tee.
Ridden on coat tails for too long - never plays a good one in a loss.
Now his meal ticket (Dusty) is off the scene, has been exposed.

Loves to take pot shots at our champions this bloke

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:think:
Castagna .. and champion.
Not two words any sound-minded person would put together.
Dusty is a champion, Cotch and Riewoldt too. Outside our club there's Buddy, Selwood, Dangerfield, Bontempelli, Pendlebury, Fyfe, Mundy and the like - champions.
And we putting Fumbler Joe into such exalted company.

I get George as the sub. We took the gamble that we wouldn't get a serious injury early and were looking to use him as a ballistic missile in the latter stages of the game when other's legs were tiring. Sub out, or manage, any player looking sore.
It kind of worked. His pressure was good around the ground, nailed some tackles and forced some turn overs. Long-term though, if that's how we intend to use the sub, we need to find someone else who can do this and not be a complete liability with ball in hand.

Why would the club play Costagna, he won’t be there next year as will be delisted this simply stagnates younger players. He is simply a list clogger in which he’s papers should have been stamped years ago.
He’s contracted for next year so unless he gets traded he will be with us next year
