OK, I've removed about three pages of posts.

Please do not use this thread to speculate about Oliver's private life – medical or otherwise.

Regardless of the veracity of your rumour, or what you know/have heard, if it's not public knowledge, just don't post it.

I don't want to turn this place into Demonland, but if you can't see the potential harm that this sort of rumour-spreading can cause (regardless of your intentions), then perhaps it's best if you take a bit of a break.

Thanks.

Interesting everyone's happy to take the stats when it pumps up Oliver, but when the same ones have him rated one of the worst kicks in the league there's not a peep

There's been plenty of peeps about his kicking

What I did find interesting is there must've been some slight change of role for him this year which I hadn't noticed.

Kinda makes sense. I might be wrong here but it looked like he stood Rowell after he smashed Petracca early

Serious question.

Is he actually coming back this season?

Not trying to intrude and not being a smartass, start date seems be pushed back weekly.

Your guess is as good as ours. Club has handled the messaging extremely poorly around injuries this year, the last news article on the club website regarding injuries doesn’t even have estimated returns :$

I swear I heard he was expected back 2-3 weeks, might have been the Brisbane game post match presser.

But he’s only getting to 90% top speed and he needs to hit markers much closer to 100% of his top speed before he’s allowed to return. So that’s why there’s no clear return time.

I heard an interview with Yze where he said Oliver argued he could play well at 90% power which is probably true.

I reckon if push comes to shove in finals they’d play him at 90% but they aren’t risking it now.

He might lose the leg the way things are progressing.

I hear we've enlisted the services of Dr Kevorkian and Dr Nitschke to help speed up the healing process.

Goody gave a lengthy exposition on this question in this weeks presser. When asked about if Oliver would return this season, his answer was:

"Yes."

I'm just amazed by it all, probably my favourite non Collingwood player, I keep just expecting him to be named one week.

This has been much debated on the Melbourne board.

I think the feel is that Oliver probably wasn’t as straight with the medical team as he could have been when he did the injury against Port. He played out the game instead of saying he felt something not right and coming off the ground.

He then probably pushed himself past where he was told he should go in the rehab and reinjured himself a couple of weeks back.

He also had that infection and hospital stay in the middle to complicate his recovery program.

Oliver is meant to be ultra competitive. That’s why he stayed out there in a close game when he first hurt himself. I don’t think he’s ever had a significant soft tissue injury either. So that combination of him really wanting to play and pushing too hard when you can’t do that with soft tissue injuries has led to here.

Might as well be. All the industry-leading ITKs are over at Demonland :brokenheart:
They have their share of awful attention-seekers. There's a guy over there who keeps saying we've got something big brewing but refuses to elaborate on what.

My favourite type of ITK
