Hugo also isn’t a midfielderBustling Carra out the way and Hugo getting shrugged off, impressive in one move.
However Hugo sprawling to ground, a bit of a concern....a lot of his tackles didn't stick in 2024 either.
What if he was wearing a different jumper?Smillie will be the best of the lot with Lalor a close second for impacting games. Jagga will get a ton of the pill with less hurt factor and FOS will get about 20 per game but not be anything special. Draper will be a good 200 gamer.
Smillie will be crushing blokes in about 3-5 years time and he will surpass all of them.
Looked up Cripps Guns.Cripps is a ****in gun ya peanuts.
RT still taking the constructive criticism well I see
I've looked and I am not able to ignore your posting. RT has some superior status.1. I'm not a mod
2. You can ignore me if you like, just means when I start threads you won't see them. So given I've started all the draftee threads and other associated threads, the board is going to look quite strange for you.
3. My posting about the kids is very much tongue in cheek, given how some posters get quite excited about them.
nah, disagree HRS was the matchup at the stoppage drill and twice he was ragdolled by a new recruit. hugo needs to be better/stronger than just a running outside winger. brando ellis was pretty much let go by tigers and suns because younger meaner stronger hungrier talented kids could do that plus a bit more when required.Hugo also isn’t a midfielder
He’s an outside running winger the mere fact that he attempted to put his body into the contest is a positive imo
There’s nothing constructive about it. He deserves what he’s copping and even more so after he tried to make it seem like he was joking.

joke worn thin 2 weeks ago.
If there was something I posted worthy of constructive criticism, I'd take it on board. But today was just a little bit of fishing and by Christ they were biting.RT still taking the constructive criticism well I see
I really Really Really
Think we got it backwards but lucky for us we got both.I’ve done the exact same thing. Feel kind of bad about it lol. Thought for a while that he had the biggest bust potential out of everyone at the top end of the draft and now I fully believe he might be the best out of the entire crop. This is entirely down to his leadership and maturity. He’s going to be an absolute superstar.

The way I see it I see Smillie is a contested player so his benefit is in the contest where his presence is maximised
The question to me is which contest?? In the guts, backline or forwardline??
Smillie can run but I do not see the point of him running raggard when others can do that. Any run he does have is most beneficial in positional matchups comparatively speaking so no point in Smillie running along with good runners as there is no comparative advantage to him and us
We need more info on his skillset in various scenarios however at this stage centre/guts and half backline seem logical starting points. For example Smillie could start in the guts or start at half backline and move towards the guts after the bounce, either way, his contested presence alters the dynamic and balance. Furthermore, because he is a contested presence, getting him to run around chasing the ball seems pointless running him down, it would make more sense for him to position himself so the ball has to go through him in the contest most of the time whether centre half back or centre or behind the play centrally where he can get access to the ball in transitions forward as well as defensively
