The only reason why he's on our list is his surname. The amount of abuse and criticism Castagna copped on this board yet he's 10x the player Maurice will ever be.

One of the worst players I've ever seen play AFL.

Nepotism.

As one who was very critical of Castagna, especially his last two years, you are indeed right about Maurice.
Never seen such a poorly prepared player, maybe with the exception of Relton.

His lack of professionalism during the off season has comeback too bite him on the arse.
Evident by today's showing.
He can either accept his wrongs and use the season too get back into shape and use it as a springboard for next season or be sent home for good.
It's all upto him.

It's not the fitness so much for mine. It's the almost complete absence of team play and awareness of team mates when he goes in to contest the ball.

He gets himself in too deep because he over commits and then doesn't hand off when caught with the ball coz he is still focused on trying to do it all, failing to break the tackle. Over and over and over. It's a very singular and selfish way of playing. Perhaps not on purpose but I don't know.

But man does it cost us in turnovers.

It should be an easy fix. Go in for the ball and flick it to advantage. Focus on damaging on the outside. And tackling.

I don’t mind so much that he is playing heavy.
mcdonald-tipungwuti, dean Rioli and stuart dew all played heavy and did well.
he just doesn’t get enough of the ball to make an impact.

thats what it is ,hes tryin to do it all,he needs to drop his flipping ego and start playing the moment on its merits and not try n do the magical thing, its purely selfish how hes goin about it @ the moment, hes runnin outta a time
theres only one other excuse for him other than that i rkn n thats that he might not have have the IQ out there to impact ,to be a move ahead ? it is a possibility. he looks on many ocassions to be on a different page than the rest of the guys n thats a concern....
for him
