Just noticed this up at the Swans website -

Impressive footage for it's age and an interesting insight into how very different the rules were back then (& crowds, uniforms, etc) . No change with Melbourne weather though..haha.
How crazy were those sharp picket fence spikes around the MCG!? Taking a big speccy was a lot more dangerous then!
I wonder if there's footage of the 1945 bloodbath against Carlton somewhere as well?
