This of course is a much more fun final

It was funny watching mum run on the ground for Lloyd's 100th. I did feel a little sad for the Roos though when their player's race went through seats that were all Essendon members. Some bomber fans were as feral as Collingwood or Adelaide supporters that day!

Grrr luckily i don't remember that game

No, this is THE elimination final. The other is just a scratch match for Port before their Semi.
That is pretty arrogant to say. I am fairly confident that the Richmond boys can at least give Port a run for their money even if they do fall tomorrow.

Pressure is all on North Melbourne, really.

They've had their moments this year (losses to Brisbane & Carlton in particular) but they've also been able to beat Sydney, Hawthorn & Fremantle along the way. They were talked up all pre-season as likely finalists and potential challengers... so now it's time to deliver.

Deserved favourites going into this game after finishing comfortably above Essendon (6 premiership points & significant percentage). They should be winning this by 4-5+ goals. :)

I see what you did there.

Not sure who I want to lose more.

On one hand, if North win, the jizzing about 'omg brothers coaching omg final' will be unbearable, they bang on about it enough in a regular season game despite it happening 5-6 times before between the Scott brothers, imagine a final.

And then you have the week-long 'wowzer' festival that will be Bomber v the Geelongs if Essendon win.

Shoot me, next weekend will be unbearable to listen to either way.

Think North will win, by 20-30

I'd say the pressure is equally on us.

What with you guys being kicked out last year. You have a massive, massive point to prove.

Too bad you won't be proving it. Not tonight.

2001. Mick Martyn kicked a sealer, if you can believe that.
haha some very good trivia there. :thumbsu:

Being at the 'G really makes this game I think, on top of the modern rivalry that is.

Please Norf PLEASEEEEE

If there is one day Boomer needs to do something, it is today

Reckon this game has potential to be a classic match. Whatever happens I predict one team will get a big lead and the other will come flying home hit front, but the team with the early lead will prevail.

Something along those lines

Oh and Ben Brown first goal
Sounds like us. We usually start alright, fall asleep in the second quarter, then come home strong in the second half.
Read a stat today that we've won the most last quarters (equal with Port) of any team this year.

But we're the comeback kings of the last two season. Just sayin
