How much you got in your bank? Also who else do you have in your forward line?

Pavlich, Riewoldt, Deledio, Giansiracusa, Goodwin, Higgins, Krakouer

got ~60k in the bank so I can reach ROK, brennan and franklin.

Tough choice though - id love to have SJ in there, but he is just too expensive currently to be a viable option, while having franklin/brennan there will give me some solid final FWs.

Ill do some more maths (already dont alot of thinking;)) on friday and then probably pull the trigger.

Im hoping hill gets dropped so he doesnt lose value while i wait to upgrade him!:p

246K in bank

Hill to Mackie (have broughton and Suban already as emg)

and either

1. Krak to SJ

or

2. Lucas to Pav. (Currently have Lucas, Sidebottom, Yarran and Krak in that forwardline, which is costing me too much pointswise)

Which one (Krak or Lucas) should I trade first? Dont really want to miss out on Mackie. Donuts not really an issue, though if I trade Lucas out, I could avoid playing Yarran.

Thoughts?

If you're in danger of copping a 0 trade Lucas.

If not trade Krakour, his BE is over 100 this week and will lose you money

I would go option 2, Pav is hitting top form and is going to rise and rise in value. Lucas is more of liability than Krak, although Krak has had a bad couple of weeks. 2 for me though.

I have a couple of options i am struggling with......I have $78k in the bank

1) HOULIHAN > GRIMES
KRAK > VOLT

2) HOULIHAN > GILBEE
KRAK > FRANKLIN

3) KEEP HOULIHAN IF HE PLAYS AND WILL RISE $30K STARIGHT AWAY BECAUSE OF ROLLING AVERAGES.

AND JUST DO THE KRAK > FRANKLIN TRADE.

I have 13 trades remaining.

You should defiantly go with option 1.

The way melbourne play will suit Melbourne, a lot of chiping down back, they usually try to move it without going long so that results in a lot more marks, but also even more marks because they are so sow at doing it. Grimes will free up cash and will allow you to get Riewoldt who I can't see getting under 100 whilst the saints are firing. Gilbee is having a god year, but he has been getting tagged and I dont think he can go on much longer. Franklin has been strugglin with Roughead being another target and poor form.

It's an easy decsion for me, I'm in the same situation as you.

I'm going Houlihan > Grimes

and Krakouer > S Johnson. Looking forward to doing them as well.

^^^ Option 1 fo shizzle.

Definately don't keep Houlihan. He aint making the side this week and maybe not for a few more weeks.

Yeah fair points, the only reason its a touch decision is i have been burnt by injuries this year, as many of us have and my backs are just starting to look settled. I would be getting Grimes with the intention of keeping him as i only have 13 trades left.

My backs are:

GODDARD, MACKIE, FISHER, HODGE, CORNES, HOULIHAN, BROUGHTON.

Whats your defense??

Again.... option 1 fo shizzle. Mackie and Stevie Wonder are both great pickups. You will have to trade Lucas at some point but the other trade is better.

I find that almost every time in this thread 'Option 1' is clearly the best trade scenario for the person to make.

I think this week is critical. I like many others got a scare in the eliminator and its time to start the "quickening".

Houlihan (if not named) to Grimes and Tuck to Bartel or mayby Hayes.

Ziebell back as my weakest forward, Higgins back as well (1 zero last week), Tucks weak scores replaced by Bartels mammoth totals and Grimes to replace Suban's weekly 50.

I like it.

Why wouldn't Houlihan be back?
Surely he would wouldnt he?
I second that, and if he's not back this week I'd say he'd be back soon. He was averaging ~85, which is backline keeper status in a strong DT-wise carlton team. I don't see why everyone is thinking of getting rid of him...

Upgrading hill like most this week

Can choose between Burgoyne and Mackie
Leaning towards the safer option in mackie

Am the only one with Hill in my midfield? (I took him in midfield for security at the start as I was starting 2 of Rich, Hill, and Beams). I think I may keep him for a few more weeks yet and wait for the next round of price increases for him (could be a few weeks), as I would prefer to get Sidebottom in the forwards for M.Brown, as I'm unsure of any upcoming forward rookie prospects(ballyntyne could be a few weeks off).

Not the only one, I have him in my mids too. Im trading him for Sidey this week - Hills B/E is 76, so he is likely to lose cash from here on out. Im keeping Brown on my bench as cover for the rest of the season though, so if you need the cash you might need to hold Hill.

The Grimes/Broughton/Sidebottom dilemma is doing my head in...

Who are you trading to Grimes/Broughton? If its Hill, and he isnt on the field I would get Broughton. A heap more cash over Grimes, enough for another upgrade. If you need a potential keeper, and at worst a great CC, go Grimes.

Few options this week, the only definate is I am getting rid of that worm Petrenko....

Petrenko>Broughton
Otten>Bruce

or

Otten>Davenport
Petrenko>Scotland

Option 1 leaves me with 2 rookies still starting in backs which includes Hill
Option 2 leaves me Hill or Hurley as 7th back, and playing Davenport or Collins as number 6 mid.

Goddard/Fisher/Lockyer/Mackie/Cornes/Scotland/Hill....Bench Hurley/Quinn:eek:
or
Ablett/Bartel/Cornes/Swan/Bruce/Rich...Bench Collins/Anthony

I haven't ruled out trading in both for Hill/Suban depending on selections. Houlihan/Raines are also problems considering their selection chances. Hodge is currently sitting on my bench and Petrenko is dead weight and will sit there for the remainder of the year.

The other issue is the M. Brown (bench) situation as I'd like to secure a solid bench rookie for the forward line for the year whilst making cash and am uncertain when/if Ballantyne will be ready in time for other trading plans.

Can someone please let me know the B/E score for Mackie & Fisher this week? Just want to see which one to trade in first.

Also, I know there is a website for it, but can't find it, so if someone could let me know that too.

Thinking of trading out Firitto/Hill/Suban over the next two weeks for Mackie/Fisher/Hurley. Would leave me to hopefully only have to upgrade Raines later to someone else in my backline.

While I'm at it, if you had to choose 2 of Mackie/Fisher/Enright/Scotland, who would you choose? Settled on first two, but Scotland could be good too.

Thanks for your help!

Hey guys, really need some help with my decisions!

My trade plans depend heavily on whether Houlihan plays, tell me what you guys think:

1)

Brown > Sidebottom ($160,000 left)
Hodge > Grimes ($303,600)
THEN
Houlihan > Lockyer ($235,700)
T.Tuck > Ablett/Bartel/Corey/Kornes (If AB are over $500k then cant afford)

2)

Houlihan > Grimes ($194,700)
Brown > Sidebottom ($275,600)

THEN
Travis Tuck > Cooney ($415,600)
Zaharakis > Stanton/DalSanto

Atm Im fielding Zaharakis, T.Tuck, Broughton and Petrenko :(
Is it worth hanging onto Hodge?

Any advice would be appreciated!
