2009 Trade Discussion- Part 7

i reckon 80-90 % of Dters would have him after this week..
but i reckon half of them are rushing a cow like beams/barham etc to get him which isnt the right thing to do.
im trading him for otten who i think has just about peaked

It is the right thing to do if you're gonna save more by getting Muston now than you'll make on Beams later (if he even comes back this season).

Hey guys, have no zeros this week but am wondering if i should upgrade or downgrade certain players barring in mind i still have Chad Cornes and am not sure i should trade him. have 11 trades and 71k left

Option 1 : Leave team as it is and wait for players to drop in price

Option 2 : Hartlett > Muston, Ziebell > Riewoldt/Pavlich

Option 3 : Hartlett > Muston, Suban > Enright/Lockyer/Mackie

Option 4 : Coughlan > Muston, Ziebell > Riewoldt/Pavlich

Option 5 : Coughlan > Muston, Suban > Enright/Lockyer/Mackie

Cheers for any help

14 trades left
Going to follow everyone else in Robinson > Muston

Then Either
No trade
Rich > Dal/Kornes/Selwood/Murphy
Haze > Bartel/Swan
Hill > Anyone Bar Lockyer/Duffield

Team Atm
Goddard Enright Gilbee Fisher Drummond MacDonald Hill (Broughton Cheney)
Ablett Judd Gibbs Haselby Schammer Rich (Muston Davenport
Cox Sandilands
SJ Pavlich Deledio Franklin J.Brown Higgins Brown (Wright Hogan)

Whats the best bet?
Looking at either 1 or 3 personally. Rich has still got a bit of cash. No really good upgrades for Hill and wait a couple and get hodge.
While Haselby should still average 90 odd, so may leave it at 13 trades.

Thoughts??

TBH, I'd go Enright. He's a gun and plays for Geelong, Lockyer will get you big scores aswell as the crappy 60s and 70s.

Enright.

Yeh thats the thing. Lockyer can get you the big scores, but also can score fairly low (60-70). Enright on the other hand doesn't score big but scores consistently. He is also less popular by 26,453 selections, so that could give me the upper hand, especially at the top end.

Yeah Enright i recon, hopefully he fires and scores big against West Coast :D!

hmmm tough decision ellis or fisher....

Fisher.

Mmmmmmm cant decide who to trade Chad to. Its out of Lockyer and Enright....i cant decide!!!

I originally narrowed it down to 3 as replacements for Cornes in my sde - Adcock, Enright, Ellis.

I decided that Ellis was too injury prone, given he already shafted me once earlier this year and Enright is a gun in his own right, but went the more popular choice in Adcock. Hopefully i made the right decision. :thumbsu: :D

I already have Lockyer, who's a gun. Out of Lockyer and Enright, i'd go Lock-yer-in!

I have SERIOUS backline issues.

Currently have Goddard, Drummond, Cornes, Cheney, Petrenko, Grimes, Broughton, Quinn and Taylor in my defence. The players in bold are very unlikely to play this week.

I have about $200k in the bank but have only got eight trades left. :(

Don't have any idea what to do!

i'v gotta ask... how have you managed that? :confused:

Fisher only caus he is in a more consistant side, but i like the looks of ellis since he's come back...

Tossin up whether to trade cornes to ellis as ill cop a zero for the next few weeks unless cheney comes back in soon which i highly doubt will happen

If Cornes is going to cost you a donut in coming weeks, definately trade him. Your losing 100pts each round you do so and considering he is going to be out for a month, in your situation swap him for ellis now.

I would love to get Muston in my side, but i dont know if it is worth it because I would get him by downgrading Rich, Hartlett or Coughlan who are all travelling nicely with good BE's. I have 12 trades left, is it worth making a swap with one of these guys?

in a sticky situation.
i have eight trades left, and $70,300 in the bank.
my backline is the topic of discussion, as i dont know what i want to do with it.
im sold on getting muston in for beams.
but then i have the problem of having c.cornes along with hill and broughton, players i want to upgrade.
i also have no good back up on the bench.
should i trade hill or chad, and then should i get ellis or hodge for them, or any other good individuals to get in?
searching for some dt wizardry.

I went with Enright for the reasons i said as well as my Elim opponent has Lockyer, so wanted to go different (even though i have it already won).

I like consistency and rareity.

I've got the same decision to make re Muston, accessing that $200k would allow me to upgrade one of my rookie forwards to a premium. I'm leaning towards trading out Rich as apart from last week he hasn't had too many big scores. Then I'll only need to keep Cogs for a few more weeks before upgrading him to a Bartel or similar. Altho Cogs did get a 52 last game which may slow his rise down a bit and is injury prone.......decisions decisions........good problem to have tho!

plan, 12 trades left

beams->mustIN
Suban->Enright/Fisher

then next week:
Ziebell->Ballantyne
Krak->423k FWD

kinda glad krak didnt get named this week to limit his drop as i just missed getting him out last week.
anyone find any problems with them? means i get to keep chad, hoping he comes back firing but won't have any cover cept for petrenko.
if i trade chad then at least suban will be back up.
thoughts?

Not every bench player is there to make cash mate, they are also there to provide cover.

I have not copped a midfield doughnut all year. Cogs and Robinson have done me good. :D

Cogs and Muston are the same sort of player really. Could get a season ending injury in the blink of an eye :(
