He will smash west coast this week!!
Playing the Kangaroos in Round 22 so no doubt Kornes will be fully intent on keeping thier gun midfield (i.e. Anthony) quiet.
What are you getting at?

This thread has taken a decidedly weird turn.

by your own admission your teams middle of the pack 5-11 are the middle of the range, besides I dont think there will be much seperating those teams anyway.
Also Kornes scored well against north last time.
120DT points.
Last trade with $213,400 in the bank. Have narrowed it down to 3 options.
Kreuzer-> Mitch Clark or any other Ruckman.
Kreuzer is the lowest scoring player in my team and I've been exposed a couple of times by big scoring 2nd ruckmen. He's been scoring better of late though and I think Clark could struggle against Jolly in rd 22.
Next two probably need a bit of context. Midfield is
Bartel, Gibbs, Kornes, Stanton, Cross, Anthony(Muston,Cockie)
Cockie->Corey, Murphy
Gives me another premium midfielder and means I don't have to play Muston to cover Cross but means that come round 22 Anthony is probably going to be wasted on the bench.
Cross-> Swan
Works mainly off the chance that Cross might not come back at all, gives me a super premium but leaves me with a whole bunch of useless cash.

have two trades remaining - question is, i am in prelims so should i save 1 trade for GF
1 trade will defitnitely be used to trade cox to clark/sandilands
should i save the other trade for next week or upgrade coughlan to swan
i am playing a tough opponent this week

I'd do number 2.
Jus make sure that whoever you downgrade Grimes to is playing - I'd look at Jarryd Atkinson - that should leave you with just enough cash to get swan!

Nice squad. Swan will be the icing on the cake. That said, I'd go #4. Wait till next week, then go Grimes > playing rookie, and Hartlett > Swan. You'd be spewing if you did a luxury trade this week, then copped an injury/s to big name expensive players this week. Then again, you have cover in the mids and fwd, chances are you could cover an injury anyway. If you're very nervous about this week, do it, otherwise hold off IMO.
Any thoughts on my situation?? I'm playing a guy who IMO has a better squad than me. Need to maximise any improvement I can make...

I have one trade remaining with $90k in the bank. Was thinking of trading Grimes to a premium defender with no limit to who i can buy.

Thanks for your response to my squad. I'll probably end up doing #2 for my squad as long as there are no surprises at team selection.
Now your squad if you're really going for broke, how about Taylor Walker -> rookie and Tippett -> Mitch Clark? You could do Walker->Henschal and Tippett -> Sandilands.
If you want to save yourself one trade, then Houlihan to Duffield is solid. Duffield scored 123 vs Geelong last time, but I guess that was @ Subiaco.
Don't do Kornes for Hayes.
got my grand final this weekend, epic grudge match against my mate. Am still cursing I held onto cross the extra week as trading him last week to bartel would of left me with a chance to downgrade grimes and bring in swan this week.
ah well looks like I will do the grimes trade and bring in motagna for cross (he has swan and hopefully joey can outscore him this week and give me some edge)

How did I forget about gazza...joey vs ablett? Average the same points and both have propensity to score high.

I have Goddard, Mackie, Mundy, Hodge, Broughton, Carazzo, Grimes (Hill,Raines).
Or I could pocket the trade and play Hill and save for grand final, Backlines clearly my worst area though.

Gut feel says get Goddard and McGlynn
