Has anyone else seen this?

I really can't afford it in the slightest atm, but geez it's tempting. Particularly as there only are 100 being released. Ticks my boxes of being signed, having the three premierships recognised (which I was at all 3 live also), other awards recognised, refers to the greatest team of all line, and has all the premiership players involved. Even hides Mark Blake as best as possible, which is a nice bonus! :D

I'm very tempted, as I'm yet to get any memorabilia other than the DVDs/posters to remind me of the win, partly because I was wanting to wait until we had won a 3rd &/or I thought that we wouldn't win anymore in the near future (not necessarily thinking that atm though)!

Anyone have any experience of how long I would have to decide before they sold out when there's only 100 of them (but at that price)? Posting here probably wouldn't help my cause, but I think they emailed everyone anyway...

OH. MY. GOD.
So desperately want that it's not funny

It should be released just as an unsigned poster too.

You are a nutter. :p
It's a nice pic. Seems classy. Way too expensive for what it is.

I'd love to have it, but not at that price.

Pretty much :p beating Collingwood in the GF has made me lose the plot haha
It is pricey, but what a beautiful piece, very limited edition, and possibly the only piece of it's kind to celebrate all 3 flags.
Like I said, an unsigned print/poster for $50 odd would be fantastic.

I'm a gambler.
And I've decided to wait for Selwoods signature next year when your picture will be redundant.

:p:D

I'm only now getting around to reading The Mission and was wondering whether The Mission II is a completely new book, or just an updated few chapters. I'll probably buy it either way, but was just curious.

I believe it's The Mission with a few more chapters added on for 09

Hey Guys,
Any memorabilia experts out there willing to guess how much a signed Grand Final jumper would cost if I could find a seller? There are a few around from 2007, maybe someone like Joel Corey, or Enright, Kelly?

Thx for your help

Depends on a bunch of stuff. Things to look for include:
  • What sort of jumper it is. If it's a 2007 signed jumper, it should have the GFC shield on it, instead of the cat logo (should also be made by Slazenger). If it's only signed by any/all of the three players mentioned though, I guess it doesn't matter that much, since they've all played in all three premierships. It's also nice to get one of the commemorative 'premiers' jumpers (the 2007 one is a ripper), but a regular jumper is fine. You see a lot of 2007-style jumpers on eBay which are signed by Duncan, Christensen, Menzel and co, which devalues it, in my opinion.
  • Quality of the signature(s). Are they bold, clear and big, or do they look like they've been done with a black bic pen that was missing its cap?
  • Guarantee of authenticity. Obviously anything you buy from the club is 100% authentic. Certificates of authenticity need to come from a reputable source, otherwise they don't mean anything. In my opinion, a picture of the player signing the jumper is as good, or better than, a COA most times.
  • Presentation. Is it framed, or just sold as a regular jumper?
My guess is an unframed authentic Geelong jumper signed by one of the above players with a guaranteed legit autograph would probably be worth around $150-250

It does have the GFC shield, and the 2007 Grand Final patch on the right hand side at the top. It is one of the 2 player issued jumpers worn on the day signed by that player, i.e. #44 on the back signed by Corey Enright. I'm not sure if the jumper was worn during the game or not, however it has the official authenticity certificate. The Jumper is unframed but I believe it is 2 of a kind, Enright probably has the other. It is in very good condition with a solid signature in black on the front (in the white hoop). I think for a jumper like this it would be worth a lot more than 200 odd dollars, but if I'm trying to get my hands on it I wonder how much I would have to spend to get one. I'd really like one (and others from 2009/2011 but unsure if available or not).

Cheers

Thats what I thought. I have seen it in the flesh, It is definitely genuine, COA, proper signature, everything. I'm looking to acquire it through a friend of a friend and he has asked me to make an offer, however, I don't want to embarass myself and/or make myself look like an idiot and lose the chance to buy this jumper. If I lowball, he'll walk, also I don't want to overpay. I know plenty of people will say what are you prepared to pay for it, but thats the thing, I have no idea what it it worth. Thats why I'm asking here. To be honest, I'd pay in the thousands. But how many is the question. How much would you guys pay? What's it worth?

Thanks again

I have a Stevie J signed 2009 premiers guernsey (non match worn) that I scored for $91.

The framing was $200, but an absolute bargain all the same.
Nice get.

However the request above is for something even more rare - not just a premiers commemorative guernsey, but an actual grand final guernsey.

Very nice but this one is different, it has the Grand Final patch, not the Premiers patch, from 2007 GF. $91 what a ripper!

Ohh yep nice as.
Well then, In my opinion, I'd start with an offer around maybe the $400-$500 mark and see how you go.
I probably wouldn't part with a jumper like that for any less.

It's alot of money for a jumper with only one signature, despite it's rarity.

Yeah, sorry, I didn't even consider the fact that it could be a player issue. A grand final player issue for a future hall of famer like Enright, I'd say you're looking at at least four figures, easy. It depends if he's got other suitors really, or if you're just get one chance to make him an offer. It's really hard to say without knowing how much you have to spare, but I reckon you should go for about $1500 as a start, if, as you say, you're willing to pay in the thousands. To be honest, it's such a rare item that it's a difficult one to gauge.

From memory, this Ryan O'Keefe player issue from the 2005 grand final went incredibly cheap on eBay a little while back (something like $110-130). I think that was just a fluke though, no way should it have gone that cheap.

And from memory that is the only grand final (premiership) player issue to appear on eBay in the last few years.

From my scant memory, after the 2007 GF, on the AFL Auctions website, the 2007 player issued GF jumpers were sold. I believe Ablett's went for above the $25,000 mark! If so, I think this guy has Corey Enright's and hopefully I can purchase. If G.Ablett's went for that price, I think even $1500 is too short a price and I think I'll be turned away.
