Re: Round 8 Trades

This is my team assuming i do Curnow > Smith, which is pretty much locked in.

B: Deledio, Goddard, Heppell, Suckling, Lower, Stanley, Jacobs (Gibbs, Grimes, Toy)

M: Swan, Pendles, Fyfe, O'Keefe, D.Swallow, Libba (Harris, I.Smith, Hibberd)

R: Sandi, Cox (Z.Smith, J.Tippett)

F: Pavlich, Franklin, Goodes, S.Johnson, N.Riewoldt, Petrie, Tapscott (Matera, Higgins, Krak)

$217,200 Cash.

I will be upgrading Grimes to Enright/Newman/Shaw it's just whether it's this week or next thats the issue.

I want to ditch Higgins for Mundy but i already have

Lower
Fyfe
Pavlich
Sandilands

It's too purple haze much isn't it? But if i want to it has to be this week as he will spike (more) in price.

The other option is to wait a week and fix Grimes first and then next week go Higgins > Chapman/Selwood/Bartel/Boyd, who all have high B/E's and will most likely drop or not go up much this week.

tl;dr: Is 5 Freo players too many? Who would you fix first, Grimes or Higgins?

Re: Round 8 Trades

Grimes> Jacobs
Curnow>Mundy

Next week
Tascott/Darling/Matera > I.Smith
Heppell/Harris > Swan

Hard choice the swan one:( depending on his score this week

l think someone said swan breakeven was high something like 198.

5 is not too many if you can get past round 16.
Round 16 Bye: Adelaide, Fremantle, Melbourne

Isaac smith or jacobs, don't think puopolo will hold his spot this week to my disliking!
as smith and jacobs wont have a price rise for the next two weeks (smith - 2) (jacobs - 3) have a look at those two over the next couple of weeks, smith is your safest bet though

thanks mate l had my eye on i smith cause l thought (hoped) the cats would pick him up.he should get games hes a mature age.

Re: Round 8 Trades

Those trading Smith in, are u starting him on the field?
l guess some people would be.if l was getting smith still deciding,it would be out of him and atley on the ground because montang is out and lots of people have judd.

Re: Round 8 Trades

Krak could 100+...but I'm betting Friday night lights...big crowd...50 max

Re: Round 8 Trades

Would I be better off going

Option 1:

Curnow > I. Smith

Grimes > Adcock, Enright or Shaw

then next week

Libba/Harris > Mundy

Prestia > Mzungu/Hibberd

or Option 2

Grimes > Rookie (maybe Buckley or Hibberd)

Curnow > Mundy

Then next week

Libba/Harris > I. Smith (or other rookie)

Stanley/Toy/B.Smith/Lower > Adcock, Enright or Shaw

Re: Round 8 Trades

Out: Curnow, Harris
In: NDS, Smith

Was planning on trading Harris out next week anyway so lose a price jump but i've got a fair bit in the kitty and the cows are mooing so no point in waiting. Was tossing up between Pendles and NDS but went with the BE's and opponents. Hopefully i made the right choice

Re: Round 8 Trades

I have extra cash which gives me a couple of extra options. Any advice would be great, what should I do?

a) Grimes > Rawlings/Shaw/Chaplin...
Curnow > Sylvia/ROK/Brennan

b) Grimes > rookie
Curnow > premo 550k player (leaves with about 200k)

c) Curnow > Rookie
Atley > Premo 530k player (like the idea of losing atley)

Re: Round 8 Trades

Just did the following.

OUT: Grimes Harris
IN : Enright Smith

Already had Ben Jacobs on the bench from down grading Duigan last week and have Puopolo in the team also starting on the field, I put Jacobs as emergency hoping he gets a game and if Puopolo scores a donut I at least have some cover.

Harris and Clay Beams really hurt me, had no cover for either of them with Judd (BYE) and Helbig(Stupid decision from the start of the season) being named on the extended bench, hopefully Smith can get a decent score this week and carry over his good form from last week.

Switched Goodes with Smith from Midfield to forward, Goodes will definitely play and if Smith somehow misses out I at least have some cover for him in Darling, Matera and McKernan on the bench.

Will most likely do the following trade next week.

OUT: C Knights Toy
IN: Chapman Shaw

Next week my team should look like this.

Backs: Deledio, Newman, Gibbs, Heppell, Enright. Lower, Shaw
(L Thompson Puopolo Jacobs)
Mids: Swan, Judd, Cotchin, Pavlich, Goddard, Selwood
(Beams Smith Helbig)
Rucks: Cox, Sandilands
(Smith Derickx)
Fwds: Franklin, Sylvia, J Riewoldt, Goodes, Tapscott, N Riewoldt, Chapman
(Darling Matera McKernan)

Re: Round 8 Trades

Operation get R. O'Keefe put on hold. Need to fix up DEF with lack of bench cover playing this week.

Matera >>> I. Smith

Grimes >>> H. Shaw

99k bank

Shaw has been sensational and I can't resist from his current price. Smith named on field and looked good last week + gives me flexibility now to move Fyfe to FWD. Just hope Smith's JS is ok!?

I like option a

Grimes to Shaw
Curnow to any of the 3. Maybe ROK or Sylvia

Effectively getting 2 keepers with 2 trades

Atley's BE is still only 25, maybe downgrade to Smith/ Jacobs next week for some cash

Re: Round 8 Trades

Grimes -> Enright
Harris -> Swan

:)

or should i do Grimes -> Adcock instead? Dont have any Brissy players, only one other Cat.

Re: Round 8 Trades

With Toy, Duigan and Gibbs out I need a cheap back to make sure I don't cop a doughnut.

I have a good 100K in the bank so I figure the time is right to trade out Coad.

So who's better Hibberd, Alex Johnson or Ben Jacobs?
