Re: Round 8 Trades

Wasn't suggesting to trade didak, bringing in smith means you can swap didak to the middle and then upgrade your defences. Using mpp players to your advantage

Ohhh I see, sorry man just misread. I traded tarrent for Jacobs which left me with $350.000 in the bank, going to upgrade harris for pendels or mundy..then next week I will probs do what you said and move didak to mids and get smith in.

Whats the best way of doing that?!

Re: Round 8 Trades

i had Adcock from the start, and along with Cotchin has been turned from a mid-tierd maybe, to a bonafide premium

i wouldnt bring in adcock or cotchin now. but very happy to have had them both from the start

Re: Round 8 Trades

Cotchin is in that weird bracket where not an ultra uber premium, but a keeper for me nonetheless. If i am travelling well later on, he may be a luxury upgrade target.

He's been good, but only in weeks i spud it. When all goes well, sub 100 :(

Re: Round 8 Trades

I just got rid of Atley for Smith, then moved smith Fwd and Didak into the midfield. Will upgrade a backman and mid next week.

Thanks Toxic for your help, really appreciate it. Cheers

Re: Round 8 Trades

1 forced trade and one upgrade this week. With most hit by byes/omissions, this is a good week to recover some points.

Grimes -> Newman (with tiger's draw the main reason, and that one bye left, otherwise might have considered Hurley for value)
Matera -> Brennan, aside from his first game, he's been very very consistent. Structurally prefer to have a GC player swap with a GC player. With prestia as (abeit non-playing) mid-forward link, and possibility to bring in I.Smith pending performance next week, I will have 2 links to swap the these fwds.
Goodes/Harvey/Brennan

This will allow me to balance the rookie spread in fwd/mid in coming weeks and aggressively cull mid-field cows with good cover.

good move and good luck

Re: Round 8 Trades

My backline has been decimated this week with Gibbs and Duigan having a bye, and Josh Toy and Cameron Pederson dropped.

One player that has been overlooked it seems in the backline is Lindsay Gilbee. At $389,300 seems to me to be the ideal upgrade target for those who have Grimes and not alot of cash to use. That bloke has had pretty reasonable SuperCoach averages in the past and if you consider his 53 against the Pies as an outlier, then he's averaging 85 after coming back from injury. :thumbsu:

Re: Round 8 Trades

Deledio, Heppel, Gibbs, Enright, Shaw, Scotland, Newman and Fisher are all going very well and have good injury records.

Yeah but most also have delidio, goddard and gibbs so you're doubling up on players from the same team in the one area if you dont have mpp ready to go. Most already have heppell. Shaw and enright are good except enright has the bye in the finals.

Re: Round 8 Trades

what's up with Harris? Out for a hip injury. Do we know how long? Here's the trades i am considering

Harris or Swallow or Liba? ---> Pendlebury

Toy or Otten? --> Puopolo or any recomendations?

Has he scored over 100 yet? I remember looking at him and discarding him for not enough decent scores - a lot of 70s.

Re: Round 8 Trades

Looking at
Curnow - Jacobs/ Smith
Grimes - Shaw (BE 74) as apposed to Enright (BE 132)

18 trades left & leaving 173500 in bank for next week out Higgins in Chappy.

Yeah Gilbee is one of my NEVER EVER AGAIN players..... he's burnt me badly in supercoach twice in the past....

someone please talk me out of doing bolton to jobe & curnow to mundy?
(considering I traded bolton in for cotchin before rnd 4  FAIL)

My side is
BACK: Lids, Goddard, Heppell, Grundy, lower puopolo (Gibbs, toy, otten)
MIds: Bolton, Chappy, Selwood, libba, hibberd swallow (Curnow, monty Wallis)
Ruck: sex on the beach with (petrie & curnow)
Fwd: buddy Jroo, nroo goodes, tappy, darling krak ( Matera Rioli dixon)
17 trades & 287k in hand

Need to get swan in after he's dropped a little more, & want to use my 1st forward downgrade to get petie onto the field, but my forward cows have either more mooing to do, or havnt mooed anywhere near enough (IM LOOKING @ U DIXON)

Naturally i wont trade till the sunday teams are announced tonight due to my rookies being on extended benches

Re: Round 8 Trades

hey guys trying to decide which way to go with trades.
I'd like to wait and see with rookies like Jacobs/Smith, with that in mind I may simply go Grimes > Newman.

If I'm willing to gamble on a rookie it'd be Smith, so then I'd probably go Pitt/Curnow > Smith, then I could still do Grimes > Newman but instead I was thinking of dumping Boak for Mundy before their prices rise/fall. I can still grab Newman next week if I want.

I know that's slightly sideways.. thoughts?

(backs: gibbs, goddard, deledio, heppel, broughton, toy, duigan, mckernan, grimes, toy
mids: judd, curnow, boak, pendles, swan, libba, buckley, swallow, goodes,
fwds: krakouer, buddy, roo, pav, pitt, darling, prestia, tapscott, rioli, matera)

Re: Round 8 Trades

Matera ----> I.Smith
Harris -----> J.Selwood

Swap Fyfe into my forwards and Krakour to my midfield emergencies to be upgraded to Mundy/Boyd next week.

Mids: Swan, Pendlebury, Watson, Priddis, J.Selwood, Swallow

Fwds: Franklin, Harvey, Fyfe, Goodes, J.Brennan, Riewoldt, Petrie

you have listed toy twice but you do realize you potentially have 6 zeros in your backline ? I'd be trading grimes this week unless u don't care about overall

Re: Round 8 Trades

Just traded Curnow for Delidio and Otten out for Puopolo. Will trade Gibbs (how cheap!) in for Harris next week and then I might settle down a bit.

I have 16 trades left - have I used too many?
Well I'll have 16 if I do my 2 trades this week (looks likely) and I think thats about par 16-18 or so. Some people are down to 14 etc which I think is starting to get a little low
