Acres is an interesting one. Very tall mid, although, have read that one of his weaknesses is his inside work. One article that I read likens him to Gibba.

Like the look of Dunstan. Good-size inside mid with a lot of potential and not-so-short, although speed and effectiveness by foot not listed as great.

Salem sounds like another option, with his reportedly elite kick and physical strength, not to mention his speed, marking and goal smarts. Highlights seem to show that he's more of an outside mid.

I'm torn between getting a KPF or mid. Shame that we are unlikely to get Hourigan since that we are lacking his type. Been pushing Cripps for awhile but he seems to be likely out of reach now.

I’d Salem would also be another we’d be looking at. Both are versatile players, which seems to be Malthouse’s current recruiting mantra.

Why not Cameron McCarthy?

IMO he'd be a reach at #13 and we don't have the development systems in place to nurture skinny KPP (or any KP talent for that matter).

Play it safe and take the best inside available mid at #13 as we are still addressing a need.

Darcy Hourigan will be the next Jack Darling .... long kicking, quick off the mark, nice hands, 192 cms.

Would even be tempted to pull the trigger at Pick #13 (I think he's more of a chance to benefit from our development systems ahead of McCarthy).

Trade #32 to Bris, use #33 on best available KPP. Harvey/Marsh/McStay/Hourigan/Giles/Brown... Any chance at all that McCarthy or Gardiner slide that far?

First round pick (pick #13) - Matt Crouch or Best available midfielder
Second round pick (pick #32/33) - Darcy Hourigan
Third round pick (pick #51) - James Tsitas

Need to stress that I don't see our latter two picks slide that far, but ideally those are the three I'd take right now.

We should do everything in our power in 2015 trade period to lure him across. Being a BlueBoy at heart, hopefully he takes a while to adjust and his value drops a bit. Then we can maybe offer our first rounder at the time plus a good player to get it done.

Unless we somehow have some secret plans to pull #1 by Friday at 2pm.

Exactly. I honestly reckon we should poach SOS to come back to where he belongs, that way he can get into the ears of kids like Shiel and Boyd (both Blues supporters) about coming across to Carlton in 2015/16.

Just like Vlas last year, they've shown that they'll buck more talented players to get the guy that want; and I believe they've shown interest in Salem (unconfirmed) so could happen.

Either way, we will have a very nice midfield prospect sitting there at 13. Could even have a slider in KK free in which case we will pounce.

Salem would be very good for our side. Loves a scrap by the looks of it but still has the smarts and skill.

Really doubt he'll make it to our pick though...again I see the Tigers taking a favourite of mine (oh Vlastuin)

Judging by whats being mentioned around the traps Richmond looks to be going KK or Salem if available
Francis Jackson usually takes the player he rates rather than the popular pick if you know what i mean and this year it look like KK the Salem in that order
