If we keep #7 and get KJ for #28 (maybe upgraded by Melb for JG), who do we get in draft?

#7 = McKenzie, Ahern, Durdin, Laverde? Really want McKenzie as he looks like a FEV! Could he play immediately as a third tall? But is #7 overs?
Of that four, McKenzie is the biggest project and should end up being picked last.
LaVerde , Ahern, Durdin & then McKenzie.
I would take Keitel before McKenzie.

Mate, that's a terrible deal for us.

Basically getting nothing for Robbo and Garlett other then a slightly higher pick in the 2nd and 3rd round.
Giving away Pick 7 for a player drafted at Pick 12 from 2012 who has played 7 games and hasn't shown anything. Make no mistake, Jaksch is a speculative choice even in the top 25. If anything, his value should have diminished over the past 2 seasons.
Having our first pick at 19 is not helpful for a team "rebuilding" either.
Didn't Rogers say he'd pick Jaksch at about 12 in this draft? Drop his equivalent value to 20, I still think trading pick 7 for 19, 20 & 21 is a good deal.

It would only be 19 & 21. But agree with the sentiment.

I'd much rather 3 good kids (19,21&28) + KJ than 1 good kid (7) + KJ (if we trade 28 for him).

Isn't the issue that the GWS would expect #28 in return. They won't just hand over KJ + the two picks ...........

I wouldn't be surprised in GWS need pick 7 to try and land Christensen and that is why they are trying it make that work, tell em they're dreaming.

Except Christiensen has requested a trade to QLD.
Said that is his preference, however the reason he has stated that he wants to leave Geelong is he needs to get out of Geelong/ Melbourne.. Also wouldn't be surprised at all if he lands at West Coast, would be a great fit for there midfield which is in desperate need of outside pace.

Lets say that trade goes through and out first pick is at 19, what's thoughts on picking up lamb? Would he be around that mark?

If we had picks 19 and 21 I would go for R. Mckenzie and N. Cockatoo (assuming he's still available) and C. Menadue if we kept 28.

Plus Jaksch thats a pretty good off-season to me

I can't see the other 16 CEOs allowing this to happen. There would be a riot @ AFL house. Why bother having a contract?

I think it's a good move.

tear up the contracts of 16 other players, force every club in the land to take a tainted free agent.

The Bombers then have twenty 18yos on their list and thanks to the mounting legal fees, will be forced to relocate to Canberra, Hobart or Port Moresby. :)

Can you see the likes of WB, North, GWS, GC & Sydney who survive on AFL assistance really arguing the point?
The AFL would rightfully say to them, you want our money, you will do as we tell you.
It's why the AFL can do whatever they want because the majority of the competition survives on financial handouts.
