You watched highlights of him playing against 17 year old KIDS!

I will admit they looked great, but I would have little doubt that if you placed someone like Petracca against those kids you would see some insane domination as well.

Yeah I understand that, and agree 100%. However, it's just some things you can't really teach that stand out, like the way he controlled the ball behind his back and then between his legs whilst spinning around and still firing out the hand pass and hitting the target. His speed and acceleration are also superb, highly sought after qualities in a player when combined with skill. I'm not admitting in anyway to be an expert and I know it's just one clip, but I stand by my comment that he looks a top 10 prospect based on his freakish skill set.

Caleb Daniel, if he is there at 28 do it. If he was 10cm taller he'd be a top 5 pick.

Not me.
As skillful as he is, kids simply do not get drafted that high that are only 167cm. He'll get completely monstered at AFL level.
Reckon one of the Adelaide clubs will get him late or even as a rookie.

just from those videos (awesome work in finding them) all three boys look the goods. Really would have liked a second round 2 pick.

I like Cockatoo, he appears to have x factor about him i also understand that he has been out for awhile with a leg injury and only got back for the combine. Which may explain why some of his disposal did not hit the mark.

Menadue clearly had the better disposal skills (on display).

McKenzie is a solid unit and looks like an excellent long term forward prospect, one you could build a forward line around. Heard that he only kicked bags of goals on significantly weaker sides (not sure if that is correct).

I'm not too sure. I mean if he is that good he will be fine, look at libba.

Will win a lot of free kicks like selwood

If we're intent on bringing Hunt to the club we'd do so as a DFA.

Certainly no need to entertain the thought of selecting him in the draft.
Prefer Robbo, Brock, Ellard or Lucas over Hunt. We do not need him, lets find someone who we can develop to play, who can kick and has some speed please...

Really reminded me of Andrew Mcleod in those highlights with his mix of speed and power, and the way he just arches his back and runs. Very impressive

Not doubting his ability, i'm just of the opinion that guys his size rarely get drafted in the modern game.

Unfairly overlooked, imo. AFL is still a very conservative sport. People don't like to break the rules of what's considered 'normal' ... eg. Must play a ruckman ... Even if that ruckman can't mark, kick, tackle, handball or run ... I think small guys are the victims of that same conservatism ... My personal view is that height/size is overrated ... Would expect Daniel to be just as damaging at AFL level as he currently is.

There is a difference playing u/18 footy at 167cm and playing senior afl at 167cm. Not saying he isn't worth a crack with a late pick/ rookie, just cant see him going top 40 come draft day.

We need some run, carry and delivery at pick 19. If Duggan slides, otherwise, Lamb, Menandue or Langford (1 of these should still be available)
Best available at Pick 28. If any of the above slide, or Cockatoo, Gartlett or Neal-Bullen if any of these slide through to 28. Also not adverse to the bigger bodied Nelson or Maynard.

Any 2 of Duggan, Lamb, Menadue, Langford, Cockatoo, Gartlett or Neal-Bullen will give us some really good run. They all have very high agility, speed, endurance combination, and can all play football.

I'm a short guy, so I'm really cheering for Caleb. But I agree, he ain't getting picked up early. I think 4th rnd to rookie.

Can you imagine him on the wing, in a marking contest against Cripps/Fyfe/Bont etc? Would be giving away 20-25cms.

Is a ball magnet and has footy smarts/skills coming out of his wazoo, but I reckon teams would be worried about him being exposed.

IF he gets picked up, it will be late and he may be relegated to a fwd pocket. Deserves better, but can't see teams being brave enough to test.

I really want to get some speed in this draft somehow. I feel like outside of Yarran, we are really lacking in quick players who love to run and carry, which was a strength of ours only a few years ago

We could use one of those. Eddie Betts is one of the shortest players around but slid to the preseason draft - arguably Wayne Hughes' best ever selection.

Daniel ran a 16.1 beep test. So you'd have to catch him first. He'll run a lot of taller players off their legs, so should have no problems collecting a lot of uncontested footy.

Glad to see the Menadue drums banging a little more.... arguably the top wingman coming through which is what we want... having said that either him or Ellis and id be stoked! we need another decent lefty in the team!

I recon Geelong will nab Cockatoo.... Varcoe replacement??

Pretty sure he played SANFL seniors and his stats were quite good. He'd be a great get somewhere between 60-rookie. Has elite speed and fitness.
