Hi everyone, I have a concession ticket my daughter can't use for the grand final and would like a hawk interstate member to use, but she has no concession card, can I upgrade to adult?

Just borrow a concession card off someone.
Often they don't check anyway. I haven't been checked in the finals this year.

Last year you could upgrade to Adult at the ticket window at the ground on game day. I did it for a week 1 final but not the GF. There was a Hawks poster on here who did it at the GF last year. If you call Ticketek the answer will vary depending on who answers the phone, when I called last year the girl said no, then I said are you sure, she went and checked with someone else and came back and said yes okay. I seriously doubt they are going to turn people away at the gate.

Do you guys have any other transactions that may have been applied on the weekend and used up your funds?
Also were the funds in your account cleared? Eg: If you deposit a cheque the funds take 3 days before they are available.

Nope, had extra in the account just in case I needed to use the debit card but nothing would have amounted to having insufficient funds. The bank says nothing was charged or tried to be charged to their knowledge, no idea whats happening :(
 
I rang the ANZ bank and they said Satday and Sunday are non credit card processing days hence the reason it was rejected.

I'm so pissed. Don't know how to escalate this with Ticketek. Are you with ANZ? Surely I'm not the only one that has this problem.

Was it Amex, those cards were cancelled last week because some store was hacked, new cards have been sent out. Anz are bullshitting you.
 
Is this the first year that they have had this credit card declined lose your ticket policy ? I seem to remember they used to contact you if there were any issues. There is bound to be some people ****ed over by bank errors etc.

Just another money saving idea i guess. With all the $5.50 they took off North, Port and Hawks cat 3 supporters, surely they can hold some tickets and make a couple phone calls/emails.

Hi all, this sounds seriously fckd up, if you are getting no joy from your bank and ticketek I strongly urge you to make your complaint public (if you haven't already). CHOICE, the consumer organisation, would be very, very interested in a problem such as this, I know, as I work for them. The media spokesperson's name is Tom Godfrey. If you don't get any joy give him a call/email him at:

Yep, prior years they followed up problem transactions on the Sunday.
Seems like a BS policy this year to automatically reject them. There are always going to some weird situations or stuff ups with funds.
Surely they will have some tickets set aside as a contingency.
 
Q33 is on level 4 - you'll be at the City end, probably just around from the left behind post. 24 and 23 mean the two seats next to the aisle. Row q as well so maybe 15-20 rows from the back?
I guess I have been lucky then. I have never selected to accept Standing Room and have always got tickets.

Ditto, It has always been my understanding that Gold members are guaranteed a seat.

LOL I rang HFC and they said if ticketek cant sort it out and allocate tickets to me then I can come back to HFC and buy some corporate packages. basically nothing they can do for me either.
 
I would have thought so too, but they give everything else but the account number - my membership bar codes, seat allocations, etc., but no account number. Guess I'll just turn up at the counter and see what happens.
It will be on the confirmation email when you entered the ballot and when you bought any other finals tickets.
Anyway, you just need the credit card when picking up tickets, I've never needed the ticketek account number.

That's really shit. Give Tom a try...at the very least people need to know that fcks up like this happen and consumers get screwed over through no fault of their own.
 
Hi looking to swap my 2 x level 2 category 1 seats with food and drinks supplied valued at 800 each for 2 x seats in outer and cash difference really prefer they go to a hawk member than onselling for profit

I have got 2 standing room tickets, one in M3 and one in M10.
