what do you mean 'cap space'?

we dont need cap space - if any club needed cap space, look no further than the club you support.
We cleared around 1.2 mil when we got rid of Shaw, Harvey, Kornes, Logan, Redden, Wagner, Flynn, Russell
and have an extra 600k left over from last year, when we got Ryder.

so everyone, please STOP TALKING ABOUT PORT NEEDING CAP SPACE!
Ok, well you can come up with some other reason why Port would be looking to offload a starting midfielder in the same year that they are trying to secure Dixon....the rest of us will call it cap space.

When have port ever said they are looking to offload him? it the silly season and the media love running with bullshit rumours. Why would we be starting contract negotiations if we wanted to offload him?

"Hamish Hartlett says he wants to stay at Port Adelaide long-term, set to enter contract negotiations"

Get your facts straight before running your mouth

how am i wrong?

what would u know, you go for the Hawks and presumably live in Victoria, so what would you know about Port Adelaide?
By the same logic, your username would mean you don't know about football.

It's a connected world, people know people who live and support other clubs

Treloars also a fair bit younger and has many more years ahead of him. Also doesnt seem to have any major injury worries like Beams.

Treloars close the hottest young midfield prospects in the game. Hes certainly not limited.
Please, there's 3 years difference between them, and Beams was an AA player by the time he was Treloars age. Beams' injury worries are dubious at best. It's a little odd that he had a 16 week 'quad injury' but has had no issue since. I'll leave it at that.

I never said Treloar was limited, nor did I say he wasn't one of the best young kids available, but he's no Beams, and there's no guarantee he ever will be. I hope he is though.

If Hartlett was to get off loaded to get Dixon , you'd be crazy not to take it.

Hartlett is replaceable and Dixon gives you an extra key forward
if we were rebuilding yes correct but we are trying to win a premiership, why trade one of our best midfielders when we already have a lack of midfield depth. It would be one of the worst moves in the history of the port adelaide football club. And Kenny etc are not that stupid.

Pretty sure Beams missed the last 5 games with a shoulder injury

We would be crazy TO TAKE IT!
yes, everyone is replaceable, but Hartlett provides that leadership, toughness and grit that we needed this year, without Wines and Polec.
but why would we get rid of one of our best players to get a key fwd....?
would you lose Sloane or ??? (cant think of anyone else, lol) for get Dixon or another key fwd? NO you wouldnt

BnFs have different voting systems so they're subjective/relative. Obviously the Terlich point is that shit players can finish high in BnFs as well as good ones, so not a whole lot of use saying a player is worth more because of a high BnF finish. No one could argue Terlich is our 3rd best player. Beams finished equal first with Mitch Robbo, he must worth the same as Beams hey? AA selection is subjective, it's picked by a panel of people whose opinions are subjective.
You know that Beams missed the last 5 weeks this year with a shoulder injury, right? He played 16 games yet still came equal first. If he'd played the last month he would have won by the length of the Flemington straight.

I heard about that but I didn't want to drop a bomb like that into the discussion.
Why did you think I'd put quotation marks around "quad injury" earlier? For kicks? It's pretty common knowledge by now.
