Picked up 3 Brownlow votes last night playing across HB - 22 disposals, 5 tackles and ... 13 marks.
The ultimate sweeper, reads the ball really well in the air. His main shortcoming, apart from his inconsistency, is his disposal - which becomes something of a moot point if all he has to aim at is the goals.

Why wouldn't Brisbane draft a young ruckman instead as a back-up to Martin / West / Smith?
Pick 36-37 is quite late for Redden.

I personally would be very happy with Lycett and 36/37 for Redden. Martin is a top 3 ruck in the comp but we've got no guarantees that he and his partner don't relocate next year, Westy is okay but limited and injury prone and Smith is seemingly a long way from being ready for seniors and I don't think is a certainty to be on the list next year or beyond.
Lycett is the right age to be around if Stef does leave, or to take the mantle as number one after Stef leaves or in a couple of years if Stef decides to extend his contract (Please do, Stef). In the interim Lycett can slot into our squad as a relief ruck as he has demonstrated he can play up forward. I really like what I've seen from him.

Trent West played 10 out of the first 11 games for Brisbane last year as their first ruckman before injuring his ACL forcing him to the sidelines for twelve months. He is more than adequate replacement for Martin.
Schwab does want an extra ruckman as depth. I doubt Lycett or Sinclair would want to move to Brisbane as a second string or third string ruckman.
Brisbane could easily pick up someone such as Ayce Cordy as a rookie to act as a back-up ruckman for a couple of years behind Martin and West.
