Said the same thing to wifey.

Don't think she was listening but I like to think my opinion is valid/important, and the dog looked suitably impressed.
Did the dog holster his Cuban and look up from his poker hand to acknowledge your observational prowess?

We got this.

Umpires have no influence in Grand Finals, never have. Hawthorn are more potent, more experienced, harder and better skilled.

West Coast will be over awed. The reaction at the final sirens said it all. WCE were in party mode, 10 man pile ons etc. Hawks had a few fist pumps then business faces.

Very concerned about the weather.

28 degrees with an ageing squad, off 2 Perth trips in 4 weeks is going to be brutal

Tell you what, if Mr short-tempered Lake is playing his last game, look out!
It doesnt matter if it his first or last grand final. Remember in 2013? He made sure his opponents felt his prescence, copped a few weeks for his troubles and in 2014 Buddy and Tippet felt Lakey's ear, back and neck massages. Always hard at it.

So we are in our 4th grand final in a row and our 19th in 55 years. Better than 1 in 3. Not bad for a 17 year hiatus between 1991 and 2008.

Always remember - we are only a few bad decisions away from another hiatus. I hope everyone involved with the club appreciates where we are today, and does everything to avoid ever going back to the dog days

Dont pretend you know how the web works, nobody does...

Awesome.

I know one team has played off in 5 GF's since your last GF, for 3 flags (more than you won in your entire history) and have played 55 games at the MCG over the last 4 years (44/11 record)

The other has a pretty swell record at a shit box called Subiaco, have played 7 games at the big stadium in 4 years (3/4 record) and are always good for a few whoppers :drunk:

He's a very intelligent dog. Last night whilst I was pumping out the song with the boys he broke out into a soprano version with much vigor.

As he has not done this before I am taking it as a sign he has probably hacked my Sportsbet account and loaded up extremely large on us.

Last time i checked three was not more than three.

A new Dynasty is coming, step aside old news...

excuse the instruse, and good luck next Saturday.

just a quick question; if Hawthorn pull off the three-peat, how many of their players will have played in four premierships?
7?
Roughead
Rioli
Hodge
Mitchell
Lewis
Burgoyne
Birchall
?

Yeah that's about it, so a bit less than a third of our best 22 have been around since 7 years ago. Okay closer to a quarter considering Burger. :p

West Coast's side last night was an average age of 25 years, 11 months. They're not as young as people think.

Also I don't see us going away anytime soon, our recruiting has been pretty good and we have some good replacements coming through. Some of them will be playing in the VFL Grand Final today.

Best of luck everyone. Hope all you diehards can get tickets.

I am shitting myself, to be fair. I think we looked overawed by the occasion a bit tonight.

And all the best to you old mate - GF day is a different animal and everyone comes to the big dance.

Their run really worries me. We can look vulnerable against teams that attack us. Should be high scoring. Frawley on Kennedy. Lake on Sinclair. Gibbo to Darling and Stratts to LeCras. Wouldn't know who to tag. Priddis, Masten, Gaff or Shuey? All good players but not sure who is the most damaging and who we can likely stop. Shiels might have a job to do imo.
Looking at the 2 line ups, both forward lines should beat both backlines, so it all comes down to entry and goal kicking. 50/50 game
If Gunners is fit, then Schoey makes way although he was decent on Friday. However his best is no where near the output Gunston can potentially have. Not sure Billy is ready to have an impact in a Grand Final but no idea who else we can bring on as sub. Langford hasn't done enough and wouldn't be a good sub as I believe quick players are the best subs. Clarko also has a massive call to make on Hale. Ceglar would offer more around the ground against Nic Nat but Hale would help stretch the Eagles backline more. His game on Friday wouldn't have helped his cause though. We should know by tomorrow to see if Cegs is a late withdrawal from the VFL grand final.

Yeah form doesn't matter in the grannie, we nearly choked a 5 goal lead against Port last year. Was more interested in the Eagles celebrations, it's all about how you approach the GF.
