Boyd for #1 is not current. Has died in the arse.
Are you saying #19 and Casboult for Carlisle?
We don't have pick 19.
If Yarran ends up anywhere other than Richmond, watch all the Tigers supporters come on here gloating about how they "didn't want him anyway!"
Biggest bunch of campaigners.
I would really hate to get into a slinging match about this and the chances are that Yarran will be a richmond player so im not trying to down play yarrans career but seriously career to date Houli is way way ahead of Yarran and there are no guarantees yarran will ever become any more than he has been so far. Big difference in their out put so far in 7 yearsSettled and relatively at peace, Yarran is nothing short of a massive, almost unquantifiable upgrade on Houli.
If both of our guys were prepared to move to Perth (Yarran is originally from there so that may be a carrot for him) then Freo's first-round pick (#15 or #16) plus emerging KPP Alex Pearce would be a good result for both clubs IMO.
It has been laughable that they have left Pav in the forward line, unassisted, for so long. For a team that has been on the verge of a premiership, one would think they would have been a helluva lot more active in chasing a second key forward years ago.
According to Moe, #19 is for Carlisle and its a done deal.
Someone else has us giving away #1 & #19 for Boyd and then there was the Casboult to the Dogs story as well.
They did, they chased Mitch Clark hard, Trav Cloke and others. It hasn't been from lack of effort.
If Houli is way ahead of Yarran then why the hell would Richmond want to pick him up. Seriously mate you have no idea how good Yarran isI would really hate to get into a slinging match about this and the chances are that Yarran will be a richmond player so im not trying to down play yarrans career but seriously career to date Houli is way way ahead of Yarran and there are no guarantees yarran will ever become any more than he has been so far. "Potential" superstar talent and does not warrant a 1 million a yr contract.
We were prepared to pay around the 900K mark for Boyd.......for next year. Dogs are paying around the 1.1 mil mark from here on in (reportedly)
If The Dogs sucked up 200K a year, we'd get what we wanted last year.........and so would Boyd.
Given we've been talking to the Dogs alone, suggests that there has been/still is, some interest there from both parties.
You pay players $900k a year when they have actually played footy deserving of it, not on potential future output. It's a noose around a young players neck, as seen with Scully. Let the Doggies reap what they've sown, whatever that is.
What. #1 would get Boyd and something else.
What are we getting for Casboult?
Freo are desperate for bookends just like us. Mcpharlin has retired and Pav will most likely follw, Johnson is getting older and his body only allows him to play so much, so Pearce surely wont be going anywhere. Henderson would appeal to them but news has it that they are in to Bennel which would take this years first pick out of any trade.
Depends on who you ask.
To be completely objective though, you'd have to think if anything its #1 for Boyd straight swap with Dogs paying some salary, otherwise WE would be the ones giving something else extra...
Theres big wraps on Weitering, but its still nothing compared to the outrageous hype over Boyd. The talk about Boyd and how good he was/will become was on another level. Add the fact he is a KPF and taking everything else (e.g. salary) out of the equation and i think most would say he is worth more than Weitering.
What. #1 would get Boyd and something else.
What are we getting for Casboult?
I only "collated" the discussion points from the past day, maybe you should you ask the people peddling the whispers ??
100% agree, the chance of Boyd coming is completely minuscule. Just been signed up as a million dollar man for the doggies so no way would he leave and neither would we trade Casboult. This talk is rubbish and no use thinking about. This Boyd talk sounds like BS! Bulldogs would be depressed about Boyd's effort! They won't trade him after 1 year!!
