So this year;

21---> Carlton
21 ---> GWS
21 ----> Collingwood

We should ask for it back in the Aish trade and then send it to North Melbourne

Is Mullet a forward or another mid? Our mids pretty stacked as it is before adding Bastinac in.
He's pretty tidy & workman-like when he goes up forward but boy oh boy, when he goes down back he's full of party tricks!

Here is one to do with the conversations a few pages back - 20th October - IF STATISTICS are your thing, you'd know that today is World Statistics Day. But then 93.75% of you probably don't know and 4.76% know, but really don't care.

whilst it won't 'correct' our retention issues and the fact we lose players to the 'go home factor', it's clear that a pathway 'home' is also developing.

whilst Beams and Bell both have fathers with medical issues, they both still wanted to return to the sunshine, beams mentioned 'loving the QLD lifestyle'. My gut feeling is, if we didn't have Beams on our plate last year.. armitage would have moved back north. Mcguane, whilst no superstar also wanted to go home, Whitecross is on record as saying he wants to go to Brisbane if he can.

Whilst increased player movement has and will continue to bite us, I think it will also open the door for lots of QLD'ers to return to the sunshine, because they might get used to it, but they generally never love the Victorian/ SA weather. haha

I predict this post will be under-appreciated.

I posted about this some pages back now and support it. There will also be a flow on effect that the local kids see Queensland players more often with all 22 Lions games on Free To Air TV us Queenslanders will see the kids we have seen come up through the juniors go on to play in the AFL. As it is now the average Queensland AFL fan might only see a kid drafted to a WA/SA/NSW and VIC teams once or twice a year. The more Queenslanders at the Lions and the Suns the more kids we will have in the academy.

Don't wan't Guy's that don't want to buy in. Plus ankles are shot.
It's not about guy's that want to buy in. We pick up Dixon and convince him to be a long term player for us. If he decides he wants to go then we trade him for a 2016 first round pick. We win either way, plus in the short term he can take the best defender and will be great for the development of our young players.

Glad we are targeting more midfielders this year, we have a pretty good starting midfield but the depth is almost non-existant particularly with Redden and Aish leaving. Starting midfield of Beams, Rockliff, Hanley and Rich can be complimented with much different midfield types now with Bell, Robbo x2, Zorko, Jansen and possibly Bastinac, plus Christensen, Beams (2) and Taylor who can all rotate through as well.

Will help quite a bit IMO.

The club won't be able to trade our first rounder, as we've already traded a future pick for Walker and Jansen.

???

Get Dixon in PSD
Trade Dixon in 2016 for a first rounder; (not a future pick that year.)
Profit

The Adelaide Advertiser is reporting that Charlie Dixon is willing to enter the pre-season or national draft to get to Alberton.

We might get a nice PSD surprise.

Dixon would just use the ND anyway. Port are happy to only give up 10, and they're the only one I can see in the top 10 that would take him especially given he'll refuse medicals from anyone else.

He meant trade Dixon out for someone else's first round pick during the 2016 trade period. ;)
