I worked out of an office in Geelong last year a few days a week - one day I was chatting to a Tiggers fan about Gary Ayers and I was commenting that I always wondered why he never got considered for another AFL role when he was doing well with Port Melbourne - and one of the older ladies in the office pipes up 'because he ruined the greatest player who ever played the game' - to which I replied 'I think you'll find that Gary played with Leigh Matthews but never coached him' - the daggers she shot me were particularly sharp and delicious!

I LOVE Stevie J, absolute freakish talent.

I could honestly see him getting close to his best again for one more season with a freshen up at a top 4 club. His form last year was pretty good and a player who has won as much as he has would get little fulfilment from his dwindling side.

MOTIVATION IS EVERYTHING!!!

And now he has a little extra + our older players seem to be in great shape so our fitness department must be tapping into the fountain of youth.

Also as a hawthorn supporter i've never really been bothered by his antics (maybe i would have been if they ever beat us when it mattered).

pretty unlikely it will happen, but i would't be upset if we payed him a pitance.

Would like to see Conor Glass, Darragh Joyce and Siope Ngata come in as International Rookies - 2 years on the list outside the salary cap to develop and be close to ready to go as some insurance when our older brigade start to finish up.

*Crash* we can only have one Irish rookie at a time as an International Rookie - any others are part of the normal rookie allocation. So Glass one year, then Joyce the next?

Clubs can now list one Irish player as a Category B rookie but for each additional Irish player rookie listed, that player will be deemed to be a Category A rookie and the club will forfeit its last selection in the Rookie Draft for each additional player listed.

I hate Geelong so much, that when I watch Tigers games, I pay particular attention to Taylor Hunt and hope that he smashes it at Richmond. Just to stick it up the Cats.....
Imagine one of their favorite sons, Stevee J, tearing it apart for us! Cats fans will lose the plot = reason enough to get SJ to try his darndest to help us gain a premiership.
