Is the minimum number of draft picks still 3? Because if so our decision to hand over both second round picks is a bad one. I assume we will grab two kids and upgrade Kiwi with the third?
3 live selections, but rookie upgrade are included.

However, we currently have 5 spots to fill on the list, more if Whitecross goes

So if we get Carlisle we get back a pick in the 40's as well from Essendon which makes the Anderson trade deal better. What if we miss on Carlisle? Have Hawthorn done a handshake agreement with North to get something back next week in that scenario?

That's worrying given we just traded away both second round picks. I back our recruiters but they've got some work ahead of them to fill our list if all eventuates and we lose Whitecross and Simpkin.

Interesting week ahead...

With Kurt being upgraded we have 3 spots to fill right now. 4 gone from the main list which is above the minimum. The rookie upgrade counts as one of our three minimum selections in the ND.

If we finished up right now and didn't delist anyone we'd have to make either one very speculative pick in the draft with 51 or upgrade another rookie.

Edit: forgot to factor in Jed. So we have 4 open spots on the primary list. So we'd be using 15, 18, 51 and our own third rounder at this point.

Pick 15 and 18 for Cam McCarthy - this way we trump Freo who need a good forward...they'll be forced to get Casboult
Effective forwards are harder to find
Roughie can then be our CHB and Spud Frawley FB.
Spine is looking sweet again....Financially Cam should cost less than Carlisle and at the same time upside is huge....
considering we avg the highest inside 50's his stocks will rise....quickly
