Btw since when did Richmond become the ****ing destination club?

Is it that they are or is it that posters keep linking shit from their equlivilent thread?

2014 - trades
FA
Taylor Hunt
Trades - 0

2013 - Trades
FA - 0
Trades
Shaun Hampson - 13 games

2012 - Trades

Aaron Edwards - 12 - now retired

2011

Steven Morris -76
Ivan Maric - 69

I am not sure that trading history makes them a "destination club"

I can see Weller for Black only if Weller is desperate to leave. Can't see Freo wanting to let him go for a straight swap. But then young key forwards are something we should value with Petrie and Waite old, and Daws future looking shaky, so I'd want something more in return from our end. Hard call.

Since they won a few in a row.

Always the same. Go like shit (we should sack Dimma), start playing some good footy (Cotch and Lids are really starting to put some form together), knock off a few big names (Tiger tough, back to back flaz here we come I luv Dusty etc.) then fall in a ****ing heap.

I put them on the cusp of the last phase of their normal routine.

Dude! I agree with a lot of what you say but this is from left field.

I wouldn't be doing that deal.

I didn't expect it to be widely accepted and I rate Swallow highly as a player however, I think we have a better midfield mix when he is not in there. Trading the captain isn't as ludicrous as it was in the past and, while I'm averse to copy the Dogs too much, the Griffen deal will payoff in dividends for Footscray.

I'd expect a Schwass-Grant type return IF we went down that path. ie - a young player who has proven at least some good to excellent AFL ability through performance rather than the mere potential of a draft pick.

At a glance that'd be a recent rising star nominee type like any of..

Josh Kelly
Marcus Bontempelli
Jack Billings
Ollie Wines
Nick Vlastuin
Jake Stringer
Brandon Ellis

..but it would extremely unlikely to happen so therefore I'd be happy to say 'No Deal'.

Does anybody know how Weller is going at Freo ?
Has he debuted ? Or is he killing it in the reserves ?

Big fan of the kid, he's been playing consistently good football in the WAFL for about a month now.
Hasn't made his debut yet but think that's due to Ross Lyon never wanting to blood kids (Even at his time at St.Kilda)

i am convinced some of the top sides don't rate them as high so they take it easy against them.

My Goldy comment was tounge in cheek :p

As to a trade for Hansen, I dont know why we would do it for the reasons I listed in my first post. We are in desperate need for a small forward and increased midfield depth. Also I would have thought you would want to keep a defender due to depth needs for your list. Again, I know there are rumors flying around but a Hansen trade is very unlikely IMO.

Nahas for your second rounder?:)

I'd be too brave a move for North but....

Out: Black, Swallow
In: Weller, 1st round

Run into 2016 with

FB Wright Thompson McDonald
CB MacMilan(VC) Tarrant Mullett
Mid Dal Santo Ziebell(C) Atley
CF Harvey Waite Garner
FF Turner Petrie Brown

Foll. Goldstein Wells Cunnington

Int. Dumont, Bastinac, Higgins, Weller

Emerg. Hansen/Gibson/Wood/Daw/Nahas/Thomas

Would solve our midfield imbalance and I predict have a positive impact on Bastinac, Dumont, and Cunnington's games....

can't we get a third rounder for Gibson? and a second for Nahas?

did we get 6 for Dylan Smith, 7 for Hale or 9 for H? I doubt they we get 6 for Yarram, no matter how hard they look.

crikey Hansen went 3, I do like this idea.;)
We did the right thing by Hale. Carlton will want absolutely everything they can get for Yarran.

Dom Tyson did go for #2. If Yarran is performing well enough that posters here want him, cough up.

Hansen > Richmond for 1st Round Pick.
Ontraded to Hawthorn for Hartung

Black > Fremantle for Weller

Thomas > Adelaide for Lever

Bastinac > GWS for Plowman

Swallow > Gold Coast for O'Meara
