Why are Melbourne less deserving than St. Kilda & Essendon?

It's actually 3.20pm and I agree it is too late - Sunday is bad enough but it's even worse for the holiday fixtures like Easter Monday, Queens Bday, ANZAC Day

Why no Friday nights for GWS? They went 11-11 in 2015, surely they get one.

Goes against the Afl's mythical best fit policy...Essendon and Geelong need to be played at the MCG to maximise crowd numbers and viewers as opposed to Etihad yet again.

Round 2 I can see Adelaide vs Geelong at Adelaide oval, Saturday night game.
If Adelaide vs Geelong are going to be played in round 2 it will have to be played on either Sunday afternoon or twilight as Geelong will be playing on Easter Monday in round 1 and can't have a 5 day break between matches. I personally think that Channel 7 would much prefer the first meeting between Adelaide and Dangerfield to be played in one of the prime time Friday/Saturday night timeslots. I definently think the match up will be early in the season but I can't see being in round 2 knowing they are limited by the fact that Geelong can only play on the Sunday in round 2

hahaha what?

The only GENUINE heritage matches are Hawks v North (40th anniversary of the 1976 grand final) and Swans v Saints (the famous Albert Park Lake premiership from 1897 to 1964).

The rest? They are struggling.

In a way if they wanted a heritage round, having Carlton v Collingwood would be the way to start and then the following:

Essendon v Hawthorn
Richmond v Melbourne
North v Footscray
St. Kilda v Sydney
Geelong v West Coast
Brisbane v Adelaide
Fremantle v Port Adelaide
Suns v Giants

Epic.

haha I remember that good old classic time slot in the early 90s at Football park.. 5:10pm.. I remember getting home around 8:10 and then watching the delayed telecast on channel 7 that started 8:30
