They refuse to acknowledge Port Power have not beaten anyone above 10th.

No one in the 8, how can they expect to make the 8 if they can not beat good sides.

Spot on, who gives a **** about them - can't beat anyone above them - flat track bullies.

Well next 3 weeks for them - Hawks, Roos, Giants - good luck will probably be 7-10!

Jon Ralph on Fox Footy reckons that it is going to cost the AFL millions to get the ground in China to AFL standard.

As usual Port aren't prepared to pay for anything, but want to reap all the beneifts

I love the line of "the afc are not visionaries if the game does't go ahead"

If the AFL say no to the ground upgrade, the game. Doesn't go she ad and David Koch can then blame the AFL - he is blameless

Their season ended when they lost to the Bulldogs.

The rest of the season is a series of scratch matches.

I can still remember the Port board talking up about how they were going to replace us in the 8 during the bye rounds :D

Well they've only played 5 top eight sides and have lost them ALL!

5 of their last 8 are against top 8 sides....this will be very interesting. But you know, they might go OK being as we now know they're really a top 4-6 side.

Farking LOL

Okay, my first live non-showdown Pear game in years, match report:

- for a game that featured 2 teams gasping their last breaths for a final 8 spot, there were empty seats up the wazoo.

- despite this Power supporters were proclaiming 40,000-42,000. I guesstimated 36,000-37,000. Turns out I was right

- Port played "great footy" and "would have beaten any side on the night". I'm deadly serious, someone said this.

- The loudest cheer of the night BY FAR was for a Dixon tackle. I am not joking. Every time he goes near the ball it's "oh Charlie...charlie...CHARLIE!". I kept reminding them every time he failed to hold a mark but they can't see it lol.

- they REALLY are a bunch of inbred knob-heads. Seriously embarrassing. I felt like Stephen Hawking sitting with these motherf*****s.

- the win (over Richmond lol) got them that cocky that one of them voluntarily made a bet with me that they will win the next Showdown BUT they want to see who they have coming back into the side before they commit. I laughed and asked who the hell would make a difference. The bet is for a bottle of Johnny Blue. I don't even like Johnny, but I am happy to take an idiot's money.

- one bloke tried to enlighten me that there are more ex-Port people floating around the AFL than any other team. Even alluded that Hawthorn's success was due to this (I know, right?). I asked if that was why Port are so shit now, everyone left. I went on to point out that since Hinkley's top 2 assistants left, Port has gone to shit, so there might be something to his theory.

- "Port will knock someone out of the 8, probably West Coast." Lololol

- Walking back to the car, had some weird space cadet Port supporter follow us to talk footy. I kept him at more than arm's length, he made me uneasy with his specialness.

- oh, and Kane Mitchell is a gun and it's great to have him back in the side.

- Ollie Wines is "a bull" and not just fat with a weird shaped head.

Overall I would say it was worth it, only if to remind me why I support the greatest club in the country.

You have great patience and understand bovines

Bulldogs lose to Sydney Port are 1 game plus 10% behind Dogs. They like Hawthorn. Still a bit to play with this one

No that's not correct, Port started this round 2 games and percentage below the Eagles and 3 games and percentage behind us and the Bulldogs.

The Eagles won so irrespective of what happens for the rest of the round they will still be 2 games and percentage out of the 8 at the end of the round.
