Played his best football down back but was moved forward out of necessity cause Carlton didn't have anyone that could play competently up forward. He was a gun backman and still is. Put Talia into Carlton's side and he wouldn't have done any better.

Danger produced exactly what he produced when he played for us.

Massive beast mode in the contested ball, contested marks, bursts of speed vs some bad kicking and poor decision making.

The one thing he did that I hadn't seen from him before was mouth off at the umps. Very strange.

Absolutely massive game from PD.

Will be interesting to see if it was Geelong that played great or the Hawks that dropped. I didn't think it was as great a game as everyone was going on about. Lots of mistakes from both teams.

Hawthorn do not look like the team of the last few years - not writing them off - but they just did so many non-Hawks like things.

Danger produced exactly what he produced when he played for us.

I wonder if Tex, sloaney etc still look at him as "friends for life" as when he walked out on the club any chance they had at a premiership for the remainder of their careers went with him.

Anyhow, can we keep the Dangerfield comments to the 1 thread so we don't have to read about the scumbag in every second thread.

I was surprised by all the Henserson hype. An average tall in a really average team.

Removing Dangerfield is not the difference between us being flag contenders or not.

If you want to argue that - it's losing Tippett, Gunston and Dangerfield that really hurts us.

But really - it will be not trading to improve our midfield next year that will cost us.

I really wish I wasn't so heavily invested - I have been fanatical since game 1.

The winters would be so much easier if I had yours and your kinds apathy. But I'm working on it.

Losing Dangerfield, Gunston, Davis and Tippet is hard to move on from when you just know it has most likely cost us a premiership(s). The pain/frustration will linger until that 3rd premiership is won.
