MOON BOOT for Tex

“He will not take part in AFLX or the JLT Community Series, but is focused on being available for Round One.”
Predictions for 4 weeks time:

Tex - "not responding to rest, will need to have surgery and likely to miss the first 4 weeks

Oh and BTW, Brad Crouch has a hammy twinge - should only be out for 1 or 2...months

Fogarty for round 1?...

If he has a good showing in the JLT maybe?..
It would have to be off the charts good for him to play I reckon.

I reckon we will see some different structures, and maybe a Himmelberg during the pre season games.

Opportunity to play the 2 forwards system everyone says is the new black?

So, what would that look like in your opinion GreyCrow?..

Eddie, lynch, Gallucci, knights as our small/medium forwards

And jenkins and McGovern as the talls?..

Or is McGovern more a medium/tall?..

Depends, we were the best attack last year with our structure BUT it was only with our best available talent.

Do we throw Himmelberg in as I mentioned, see what he's got..... or do we go completely different and play Gov at FF, JJ at CHF (yes everyone he will play) with Lynch and 3 smalls. Maybe it's a chance to leave Eddie out and see who else there is.

Yes , JJ and McGov. Mitch replaced ( 5 goals) Tex last year and looked more comfortable. And the 4 smalls you mentioned but also look at Mr Darcy in the JLT

It was also about getting the Fog in :D

I really would love to see them finally snatch up a first year player that gets given a go in the senior side from day one.... so many other teams seem to get players that slip right in like Powell pepper for port, burton at hawks, McGrath at bombers etc...

Where’s the crows one??... I’m not saying its fogArty that can be the one for sure but he has the big mature body for starters..

Milera did, didn't perform though.

Those foot related injuries are coming thick n fast for Walker now. Probably the reason Sloane being suggested as joint captain. Sounds like walker might be starting to suffer the rigours of constant training at this level. I’ve been a bit worried re: this for a while now. :(
Too big, too heavy

Brodie Smith, played 14 or 15 in his first season and has rarely missed a game since.

We are now 7 days into February, it is time to take out the dirty laundry. Who is recovering in hospital, who is still in jail, who has quit football to spend time with the Dalai Lama.

The suspense is killing me, we can handle the truth (except if the entire squad is in quarantine for dengue fever).

I now expect the announcements to be made late Friday afternoon.

And so it begins............

We are soooo predictable. Two more injury announcements this week?

Won't be exposed near as much defensively with McGovern's return to the side IMO.....reports Andy's lightened off this pre-season if right could also help with his speed and agility somewhat.

Jenkins, Otten and Lynch in the same forward line is pretty putrid with or without McGovern in the side.

I’m a little bit scarred by last years performances regarding Otten. Without Tex is a real worry.

We beat GWS in round 1 last year without Tex. We went a smaller lineup with Menzel then though. The "good" news is we can experiment in the JLT games with some lineups, maybe give Ben Davis a go for example.
