Completely agree, I hope the Dogs winning the flag has finally convinced Scott that speed, versatility, and an ability to be quick on the outside while also tough in the contest is what wins you flags now, not slow lumbering height.

All season I thought Scott was just tinkering and would get it right. Even the Hawthorn game was a decent structure with Henderson missing but I was still hoping Smith would get the chop after a quite one. But seeing the Sydney line up led to pure rage from me and the desire to punch my screen. It gave us no chance, maybe we still wouldn't have won as Sydney were pretty good but we shouldn't be losing games at the selection table.

He'll be selected. What they do with Stanley and Smith remains to be seen. Blicavs will get selected.

Yeah I think he will regardless of what happens. My biggest gripe isn't actually him it's the structure of the team being too tall in general.

Imo that's more problematic with the defence.
With the 3 rucks and no sub rule. One usually rests forward and whilst others don't I personally rate Blicavs defensive attributes highly, now of course if we abandon our zone set up then he loses that positional role and has lost his 3rd man up role but I still believe he's the better no.2 ruck out of him and Stanley.

Another key change I'm keen to see is that now 3rd man up is gone we'll not have -1 at the contest so often so we may do a bit better still in clearances with even numbers at the contest. Remains to be seen though.

This is how I see our ruck department.
Smith.Needs to present and take more marks around the ground.
Stanley.Simply needs to stay in the game for longer, not gathering enough possessions for the type of player he is.
Blits.Plenty of possessions,needs to start hurting the opposition with them.Keep the ball moving to stop start.
Question do MB hit out stats 2016 include third man up.

Based on prelim aye.... if we based it solely off the prelim 18 blokes would be dropped.
I don't base my assessment of Blicavs on disposal stats, he performs a role defensively in our structure and is a better 2nd ruck than Stanley
