Good size, quick enough, looks the best mid in my opinion.
Dow is my second choice.

I don’t know why l keep reading this thread but l do anyway. I just keep coming back expecting something new but continually reading the same posts that go around in a circle about Rayner, Dow, Ldu, Cerra.

I’m not criticizing, more questioning my own intelligence/sanity.

I'm considering going into Big Footy and Draft hibernation from Wednesday arvo til the Draft so it will be extra interesting viewing.

What do you think my chances are on being that disciplined?

I have a gut feeling that in 5 years time Rayner will be running around in the 2's. For this reason I hope it's either Paddy or Adam.

From what I read he is a very solid choice with leadership written all over him but no single stand out trait. No express pace or unrivaled hard ball winning prowess etc etc. Just Good at most things.
Often clubs look for stand out traits with really early picks. For obvious reason that you don't find such talent later in the draft.
Think SPS silky skills.
Dale Thomas when drafted had X Factor.
Petracca powerful.
Pickett pace.
Etc etc.
This sort of X Factor trait is what can win games. It's what sets players apart. Makes them unique.
A player with something really special might only need to touch it 15 times but he could turn a game.

Surely Brayshaw’s standout traits stood out at the Combine.

4th 2km run

Shane Rogers’ genius in reaching for Cripps always has me keen on the idea of a bolter. But my idea of a bolter for pick 3 is more along the lines of Cerra

You'd take the 3rd picked mid over the best player who also fills a need?

That may depend on who wins the arm-wrestle between SOS and Bolton.
I have no idea as to how it may be playing out behind closed doors but at a guess, Bolton may prefer a pure mid over a dominant forward who may yet become a mid. Who knows for sure?

Still think the #3 will come down to hearing one of the names Cerra or Dow............but it could be Rayner.

Yes, especially when they said they’d know who would be pick 1 by cob yesterday. Maybe they had a meeting and still couldn’t split them.

If it’s that close they should just take Brayshaw. It’s the safer option for them.

Question for our resident draft experts: 1. Brayshaw 2. Rayner (which is how I believe it will fall), do you take LDU or Dow at 3?
