Really interesting looking at Worpel versus LDU's Championship stats.

James Worpel 11.3K at 62.2% 8.5H at 79.4% 19.8D at 69.6% 9.5CP 10.5UC CP% 47.5 I50's 4.5

LDU 12.3K at 53.1% 9.5H at 73.7% 21.8D at 62.1% 7.8CP 15UC CP% 34.1% I50's 3.5

HYPOTHETICAL...What is the possibility of the LIons passing if some team bid very early eg. 4 or 5 for Connor Ballenden?

We'd 100% pass.

As I mentioned earlier, Worpel's decision making makes his DE% stat essentially useless. Decision making can be fixed in a relatively short amount of time. LDU ain't the player he is made out to be.

I think LDU is fairly vanilla but from what I've seen he looks fairly calm and collected during the game. I don't notice him rush his disposals too much at all and generally chooses the right options as well.

LDU is a vanilla b grade type at best for mine. He's overrated, especially when looking at future prospects rather than immediate impact.

I'm not advocating we take him at pick 3. They were my rankings.

Anyone who actually watched Stephenson, will see he spends a fair bit of time in the midfield and does well. He's certainly got the scope to become a full time, goal kicking midfielder. FWIW, he spends more time in the middle than Rayner.
Agree, and watching Stephenson at close range, I'd certainty say he has x factor, great speed, and lovely long stride, eats up the ground, acceleration is terrific. Can take a good mark, not too worried about the kicking, he likes a goal and does kick them.Still interested in Zac Bailey.

I know very early but Thomas Berry (Jarrod's brother, 2018 draft) has been getting some good write ups so I asked Knightmare on the PD board what he thinks of him, his reply-

Thomas feels like a more damaging version of his brother and slightly better version of his brother.

He's probably even more athletic and has outstanding evasiveness. Skills are better and more damaging. Very capable ball winner at stoppages and again slightly better here than Jarrod. Like his brother, very versatile. I like his game a lot. He's just not as tall, yet, at around 185cm.

I'll hold off on a solid player comparison for now. But that's a rough early feel.

We need to lobby for a brother/brother rule.

Hi Cotter, Do you think Toby Wooller is good enough to play as an inside mid full time? What's his pace like as I couldn't find any vids on him on youtube.

Those figures for Higgins are pretty impressive. He does prefer the short kick which probably inflates his KE a bit but he gets it a lot, averages more CP's than anyone else and kicks goals.

This has probably been answered so apologies in advance but are there any father/son possibilities? Is Nick Blakey in the draft and do we have any chance?

Outside chance in that we're 1 of 3 eligible, but it sounds like Sydney has the inside run as he's lived there and been around the club a lot already.

North can offer the whole Melbourne clubland experience if he's looking to get away from home.

Would love to be wrong, but not sure what our pitch would be against that.
