I don't know about that. We probably have another year atleast before some of senior guys begin to slow down. Maybe Dougy next year. Some of the competition in GWS are about to lose a chunk of their best-22. Geelong losing Mackie & Longenan and a host of players to other clubs. If Richmond can finish 13th one year then premier the next then there is no reason we can't take the next step next year, we are not far off. A best-22 only 3 or 4 different next year may do it.

It's interesting - both sides that won the flag the last two years weren't the best sides throughout the year. They were the sides that peaked late.

Richmond did win their first 5 too. There's a fair bit to be said for hitting the ground running and building momentum.

All the talk about Watts that I have seen was that he was touring Alberton, not West Lakes. Might have done both while he was here I guess, but I would have thought being this late in the season and just days away from trade period is that a decision would already have been made.
