Well it will be interesting to see who blinks first. My guess is the AFL get involved and 'encourage' the Suns to give up pick 2. A feel good story for GCS and you have a face for your team for the next 10 years. If no deal gets done, you've lost Saad for unders, Ablett either getting traded or retiring and Jaeger last year... not a good look.

Fine, but the difference is that with the quote above - he is telling Freo why they should be accepting the offer, with the "gold coast will do whatever it takes" line - he is revealing to Freo what the Gold Coast have told him. Two very different things.

Yeah not a good look when a club brings in 4 top 10 picks that all extend their contacts till 2020 + bring in Barlow Lyons and Witts

Yep but you finally have a young player that wants to join your club and could be the face of the club for the next 10 years. His manager Bulcher shouldn't have come out and said that he's been given assurances that the Suns are committed to getting the deal done. Surely Lachie and Bulcher would be pissed with GCS, after receiving assurances that a deal would get done and then not meet the asking price.

Wow, you are clutching at straws... It's Blucher, and he has been around the block 100's of times with deals a lot more complicated than this one.. he actually worked with GC17 before it became a conflict of interest.. he knows that if Freo ask for the moon, that Suns are'nt going to roll over... and as has been said many times.. Weller has said, if it's not this year then it's next! Doesn't sound to me that anyone is going to be pissed with GC.. Weller and Blucher will only be pissed with Freo for being totally unreasonable.

looks like Freo are digging their feet in the sand. This one is gonna go down to the wire.

He clearly wants to come to the Gold Coast but there is one key line that Weller said in the interview that does not bode well for a good trade result for the GC.
"Gold Coast have told me they are willing to do whatever it takes to get the trade done this year". Big mistake for his manager to put him on radio and admit that - it basically hands the negotiating power back to Freo. Think of this as a game of poker and you have just revealed your hand.

Didn't like that reveal either but Weller likes the hand we have played and if Freo wants to play their hand like Homer Simpson then he can't put that on us and we'll see him next year

He is the manager of Kurt Tippett!
The bloke who leaked to the AFL that an under the table deal was done with Tippett outside of the salary cap. Because Adelaide wouldn't let his player go where he wanted.
I dont know if he's got any dirt on freo but I don't trust the bloke he is a sneaky conniving snake and will rort a club over if it suits him.
