Hine will pick some 4ft tall certified midget who can’t kick and played 1 TAC cup game at pick 6.

‘He hasn’t been part of junior programs so I see a lot of upside to him’
Yeh, nah

You know what really pisses me off, we have a great draft coming up and it just so happens that we are after a great AFL player who will likely cost us our next 2 firsts.

Damn our timing.
So the simple question becomes?

If you had two first rounders and you got out of them at least Lynch for a great decade, would he be enough?

Answer that, and you have our situation.

AFL are gonna block this if we try it. Rightly so.
The AFL can block etc do as they please, the way around that is easy enough.

Tom Lynch announces he's leaving. Once that happens hard for player to stay as fabric between him and club frays and then breaks.

Pick 6 in the Eagles board Mock Draft (where I’m drafting for Collingwood) I went for Nick Coffield.

Weighed up the pros and cons of Coffield and Brander as soon as I knew who I was drafting for and although like I’m sure most of you believe it needs to be a KP talent draft I couldn’t pass on the ball use and potential future inside midfield work of Coffield.

One month out I’m feeling like I’d be happy with a draft haul of:

Coffield,Fogarty or Stephenson @6

Clavarino, Petty or Toby Wooller @ 38

A sneaky Grien Myers at 56 and then Tyler Brown late.

I think Miers would probably be gone by 56 but I ageee with the rest. I’d probably put Clavarino at the end of the list though, Petty and Wooller much better list fits imo.

You just made many friends.

I'm 44 years old and never been part of an elite program, no35 will do me just fine Mr Hine.

Nice pick

I could rationalize Brander if we rate him and decide to go tall, otherwise would prefer Coffield or Fogarty.

Would be very concerned with Stephenson or Naughton. I don’t think Balta would be considered TBH.
I could see Stephenson playing as a mid for us next year in the seniors. Don’t think we really have any types like him.

Welcome.

Mate I agree 100%. Hard to deny that we need a quality young tall or two and have neglected to pick them for too long. But Coffield is too good to go past if he's there at 6.

We seem to have a lot of interest in small defenders. We've picked up Murray, had Paton train with us and have Quaynor on our radar next year. Does that affect the likelihood of us selecting Coffield at 6?

Yep - very nervous about the Naughton talk.
His kicking reminds me of Nathan Brown...not good.

I think Naughton is well on our radar, when you consider we have Dunn as a key back, then only McClarty and possibly Reid. I think Moore is a wingman in the making.
Brander of course will be right up there, personally l like Fogarty at 6.

Good selection. Most of us here are pretty cold on Brander.

Relax, we won’t be taking a West Australian in the first round.
Grew up in Vic, has family here and is supposedly a Collingwood supporter. Don’t think him living in WA would be a consideration tbh. Still don’t want him though.

It might have but it all depends on where they rate him long term I reckon. If they see him as a midfielder, I think they’ll take him, if not maybe they will pass.

6 Coffield.

Now who do we get with pick 38?

(Note this all based on watching a few highlights only, never seeing his junior football live in any way)

Well we shouldn’t have delisted Schade or let Nathan Brown go if we are going to just waste pick 6 on a similar player. This club is dumb.
