Over 500 metres gained by Gaff, the most on his team. He is also a great disposer of the footy. He serves the exact purpose we need. FWIW Mitchell didn't lay a tackle, Yeo laid one (as did Gaff) and Wingard two.

Didn't realise we were filled with superstars able to do better.

I think most people on here had thoughts of Gaff as a different type of player. He never has been a big tackling player but is nearly always in the right position to get the ball and start the movement forward. We have the hard nuts that get the high tackle numbers what we don't have are many Mids with kicking skills and knowledge of where to be to get the ball and go.

34 disposals , 6 score involvements, 6 inside 50''s , 5 rebound D50 at 71% efficiency.
Correct if wrong but he is an outside mid .

People who call Gaff soft, well there's nothing soft about him when it comes to gut running and getting to contests. Always noticed he is too or near top when it comes to distance covered in a game but really noticing it tonight when I'm watching him more closely. Fantastic tank.

FWIW, I didn't watch the game tonight - except extra time - but Gaff covered 17.6km, equalling Nick Robertson as 5th most kms covered in a game. Scully has the top 4. Gaff's previous best was 17.3km.
