We're the reason Jake Stringer has stalled his decision to commit to either Geelong or Essendon. He would prefer us.

The problem? Jake sees himself as a forward who can push midfield, whilst we're looking for a forward to take over from Jake Riewoldt. At 192cms isn't tall enough.

Won't happen and thank **** because he's a tosser.
I think he would be great at the Tigers , Will straighten himself out and become a gun at the tigers

I really hope we are atleast talking and thinking about him

All players should be granted the opportunity to explore their options. None of the Premiership 22 should be pushed.

The only players that should be removed from the list are Yarran (retired), Maric (retired), Hunt (delist), Morris (delist) and Elton (delist). Hunt and Morris should both be offered VFL spots.

Fill 2 positions from the draft, by upgrading our first and getting Naish, and elevate Castagna (if he sticks around). For any players that do explore their options, look to gain picks in next years draft for them, and pick up a mature Free Agent as ready to go depth. Fill 6 rookie positions, including a state league ruck around the 25-27 age bracket. See if any of our decent Cat B players are still available and bring them in too.

Go into 2018 with 38 Senior List + 6 Rookies + 1-2 Cat B Rookies, and a few top 20 (somehow) picks in next years draft. With buy-in from the playing group, position our salary cap so we can get Lynch (GC) as a free agent. Being 3 years younger than Riewoldt this covers our forward stocks after he's gone.
If we can trade Lennon who is on 400K per season then it would be foolish not to do so.

well if you were "merely pointing out that injuries keep getting in the way and have done year after year" you would know that i had already acknowledged Conca's poor run of injuries with my initial comment: "reece conca will be a gun if injuries stay at arms length"

I think we disagree with his future in the team. I think he will be a gun and you believe "He is now depth, handy depth/fringe best 22."

"Maybe you do need to re-read what u wrote" LOL :p

Gee mate, you are struggling with this whole forum thing. I made a simple comment that what you said about Conca had been said by many (including myself) season after season. The whole point was that injuries hadn't previously stayed at arms length (pretty much since that fateful 2013 final) for Reece. I certainly hope they do. He is a tackling machine and good in tight which suits our game plan. His disposal is a bit suspect but the way we have played if he plays within his limitations he can contribute well.

Thank you for determining what you think I think 'gun' means. I'd say any player who is best 22 can be considered to be a gun. I have a different understanding for elite. Graham for example.... fringe best 22, still a gun, not yet elite. You clearly don't think that a player on the fringe of our best 22 can be called a gun. Good for you. Now go and finish your holiday homework before school goes back next week. You are wasting your time here trying to explain to people what their own comments actually mean.:thumbsu:

Is he on more than the AFL average wage at Richmond? I'm stunned by that.

Given that Cotch, Dusty, JR, Rance, Titch, Houli, Prestia, Caddy, BEllis, Nankervis, Grigg, Lids (this season) and Yarran (this season) would all be on more than Lennon and I'm guessing Astbury, Vlastuin, Grimes, Hampson, Lloyd and Conca would be in front of him in pay (and performance) then I can't see how he's getting 400k. Griff, CEllis, Markov and Menadue should all be on more than him as well.

would we consider swapping picks with GWS

we give 17 and 53 which gets them into the first round
they give us 23 and 25 one of which we use on naish

so we keep a first, gain Naish and gain a 2nd round

Great idea. I take it the points match up?

Only issue is we did get Graham with pick 53 didn't we? :p

May lose Naish for 15 though depending on where bids come from. I can't imagine clubs will be bending over backwards to let the premiers get a first round pick AND Naish if they can avoid it....

well I guess that makes you the Time Man with mystical bands of time at his disposal :rainbow::rainbow:

I honestly have no idea what that means. I'm a teacher mate. Time Man sounds like a cartoon character or from some game. I have the next few days at my disposal then it's back to work coordinating my year 12 students. If the next few days are mystical bands of time then yes, yes I do.

No issue's if Lennon, Lloyd, Miles and Concs, move on or are moved on. All lack one vital ingredient - leg speed. Don't think any are worth a helluva lot though.

I really hope we ignore any enquiries re- Markov, Menadue, Short and in particular Bolton. With success other clubs come circling and really don't want to lose any of our next generation players.

Were they wearing beer goggles? How late in the back part? He got fricken dropped from the VFL lmao

This is the awkward part.

They apparently were keen to track his progress during the VFL finsls series.

Sounds like they are still keen though
