Mentioned him a while back. Is he moving because of the Geelong factor or does he just want to be in a more competitive side. If so lets get him just for the LOLs (cats salty tears)

One of the agents is Marty Pask who represents Dion Prestia, and in the preview it shows little excerpts from the contract signing with DR.

I thought this was the case too, but can't find anything that actually says it. Only proof I can see is if you look up the 2016 Draft, there are no rookie upgrades listed at all.

Edit: also found this on the afl website, post round 23 document:
Tuesday 31 October 2pm - List Lodgement (1) ; Rookie Promotion to Primary List
... which also suggests that rookies are upgraded before the Draft.

I remember reading somewhere that if we use 3+ rubbish picks on Naish then we will likely have to take at least 1 kid at the very last pick of the draft.

Big woop. That's the same as taking someone in the rookie draft and every club does that pretty much as much as possible.

Stringers situation sounds similar to Dusty, I think the club could bring the best out of him.

I could like Stringer in our colours, I mean I could really like him.

In saying that, I first would not be offering huge $$$ or anything inside the top 10. Broken goods is what is coming out of WB so I'd pay a late first with an upgrade of our 3rd.

Unless he is Rance or can play KPF, two firsts or close to is far too much to pay.

I like the idea of getting him but we have Rance, and need to help and eventually replace Riewoldt more.
