Out of the 3 likely top picks we get 2 of them, which ever 2 that’s is it is a win for us regardless

Do you think we should get him at #80? I couldn't find anyone with him in their top 30.Bytel is pretty good , good height as well .
Take him like Sam Mitchell / dan Swan, Neale ,Ballard , worpel , his injuries cause him to fall out of ranking . At the start of the year a lot of people rank him as high as Top 20 , obviously you can't rate him high if you don't see him much this year .Do you think we should get him at #80? Let's do it . Nothing wrong with your preference , everybody have their own type of players they like .As long you are happy who dare to disagree with you .I think we should get Mitch Podhajski, because after the departure of Kolodjashnij we really need a player that nobody knows how to spell or pronounce. Lukoskious and Homshc can only go so far. I also like Brayden Ham because you can never have enough Braydens, Tyron Smallwood because his name could be a character in Game of Thrones, Zac Foot because of the commentary potential "Foot poor by foot", Zak Butters because South Park, Jackson Hately because we might have as many Jacks as St Kilda and Xavier Duursma because of the way Bruuuuuuce will say his name.
Actually, Ballard was very highly rated in his U17 year, but grew about 15cm and his form suffered. Still played rep footy and was the only junior player in the last 2 years to keep Lukosius out of a game. Suns actually had Ballard on the board at #19, but opted for Powell because they knew the WA clubs would get him before they could and were very lucky that Ballard fell down so far given his high grades from 2 years at the National Champs.Take him like Sam Mitchell / dan Swan, Neale ,Ballard , worpel , his injuries cause him to fall out of ranking . * Powell- don't think anyone mention him at all last year top 30 , yet you think he is a good pick by Clayton .
Ballard - most rated him higher than 40+ , yet he fell to 40+.
I myself rated him between 35+ -50 .Actually, Ballard was very highly rated in his U17 year, but grew about 15cm and his form suffered. Where will you pick Bytel?
I myself rated him between 35+ -50 .
With F/S and academy bid ,pick 29 could fell to 34-35 . ( Thomas , Blakey,quanor , west, McFadden,Bailey Scott etc)
I was actually reading the other day, it was Melbourne that looked likely to take Powell from us with their mid 20’s and 30’s picks rather than any of the WA teams.Actually, Ballard was very highly rated in his U17 year, but grew about 15cm and his form suffered. I am part of Ablett cheering God Squad until I joined GC BF . Mystical enough Mr Bods. The mystical Peel knows his stuff. Believe me. This guy should be read carefully.
It needs to be a trade the other team would do as well.I like this mock draft a lot!
My criticisms are that they didn't know Geelong has to pick in the first round and they sold the Suns short on their trade. Turned out that they made a trade between the Cats and Lions, incidentally keeping within the rules, but it was a big miss.
Having the Suns give up on Rozee to take a crappy deal with Adelaide is just like the continual rubbish offers posted here every day.
#6 and #24 for #8 and #16 just benefits the Crows too much.
Make it #6 and #29 for #8 and #16 and it starts to look more realistic,
or #6 and #24 for #8 and #13 would be even better.
#6, #24 and #29 for #8, #16 and #21 gets the Suns what fans want = Caldwell, McLennan and O'Halloran
I've said all along that Port and the Crows have the best deals available for the Suns, although GWS have the overall picks to really make things interesting.
Yep .It needs to be a trade the other team would do as well.
What small forwards do the Blues have - if I can't name them easily they probably are not any good. That would actually be awesome for us. Walsh would slot straight into our midfield and we'd still get our main priority in replacing Lynch. I don't think it happens though because Carlton already has 9 small forwards and barely enough players to actually field a midfield let alone have any left over for the VFL.
Tomorrow Cal will be pushing for the Suns to swap for Pick #1, on Wednesday he'll be spruiking the King Twins again and by Thursday night he will be predicting
1. Walsh
2. Lukosius
3. Rankine
4. M. King
5. B. King
6. Rozee
7. Smith

But do you agree that any deal for the Suns pick #6 needs to be better than the rival bids?It needs to be a trade the other team would do as well.

They had Matty Wright but he's left and Rankine is in a different stratosphere to anyone they have down that end of the ground.

I hope you are right , but don't mind Sam Walsh if Carlton don't pick him .Darcy Lang played 44 games for Geelong, deciding he'd rather play for Carlton than be traded to the Suns as part of the Gaz deal. He played 11 games for Carlton this year. He came in at pick #16 in the 2013 Draft.
Alex Fasolo has played 101 games in 8 seasons for Collingwood and kicked 133.89
David Cunningham was selected by Carlton at #23 in 2015
Kym LeBois was picked by Carlton #5 in the 2016 Rookie Draft
Carlton have spent far too much on small forwards to take risk on Izak Rankine now.
You, sir, are a comic genius!THE_GUN
Just for you .
Only Pickett, Polson, Garlett, LeBois are small forwards. Pickett most talented but has skin-fold issue. All of them will probably turn out crap. Carlton could definitely use Rankine. Yes, Fisher can play the position too but will be a midfielder, flanker eventually.Jarrod Garlett

Nope. All 9 are forwards, with some listed as midfield forward. They are all young too, 21 to 23 next season. But sure, why not add a 10th small forward with their only selection inside the first 3 and a half rounds?Only Pickett, Polson, Garlett, LeBois are small forwards. Pickett most talented but has skin-fold issue. All of them will probably turn out crap. Carlton could definitely use Rankine.
