Not necessarily. I'd say there's a good chance the medical was along the lines of ... "Yeah, I guess his foot looks OK now, but these things are tricky and we can't guarantee it won't flare up again". Also for 'party problems' ... you would be prepared to take a gamble that you could fix that.

Similar to Bennell ... we knew we were getting someone with a bad calf and off-field issues, and the trade reflected that.

This isn't some boardroom negotiation, players and managers can all see how we're acting and are less likely to nominate us in the future if we shit the bed on this.
I cant imagine any clubs doing us a favour the next time one of our players wants to leave.
