He's not wrong about Payne.
It's almost impossible to believe he is 18. Kid must eat a 2 kilos of steak a day.
He was just there every time right in the thick of it, he’s got a great handball able to release a team mate into space. Really taken on that inside mid role, besides D.Beams was the best inside ball getter on the day. What good things was Matho doing ?
He kicked 3 or 4 goals from stoppages tooWhat good things was Matho doing ?
Most notably, the Lions' defensive setup appeared far tighter than previous years, with repeat forward 50 entries a feature.
The victorious orange outfit contained the probable round one back six – Andrews, Hodge, Dan McStay, Alex Witherden, Darcy Gardiner and Sam Mayes
Where is the vid?Was a good hit out yesterday boys were super hard into. That Hippy Harris moment was great to see.
I feel like the skills were a touch better than the first intraclub I watched last year.
Beastmode is a beast, rayner seem to really be applying himself to the defensive side of his game. Was quite awesome to see was expecting him to be seagulling on the outside but nope he ain’t afraid to get dirty especially going the other way. Bit of Mathieson fitness, might not test so well but didn’t see him really blowing up at all and kept making it to contests.
Kinda seemed like everyone was making a much stronger effort to run the other way. Christensen was bobbing about looked pretty classy with ball in hand.
We got a bit of zip around the middle now I think we’ll see some pretty fun football this year which is great.
Some big kicks coming out the backline stacking the good ball users down there.
Big O > Archie.
Hugh McCluggage was the best of the youngsters jesus this kid is gonna be a superstar.
All in all much more impressed than this time last year. Gonna be real tough picking the round 1 team was real hard to split a lot of the guys. Everyone was showing great endeavour and we’re relatively injury free. Oh and don’t count out tom Bell he looked pretty good out there

Shame about Walkers finger but it shouldn’t effect round 1
Like the sound of this
And it looks like the back six will be
Solid but nothing eye catching. I’d say there’s probably a dozen guys you can lock in for round 1 at this stage, the rest are all pretty even. How did Berry and Lester go?
Starcevich is AFL ready. Solid lad. Needs to work on his game a bit but doesn't seem to have any huge holes in his game besides his low possession tallies.Something more:
I suspect the Lions' scales are way off if Payne's weight is as reported. No way- he is huge!!! And quick.
And I know it is very early doors, and I am not just picking on him, but I reckon Rich will no longer be able to cruise along, with the occasional power boost.
Kick it anywhere because I am who I am isn't acceptable. And he CAN do it, as demonstrated.
Watched Cameron during the warm ups- he was pinging them on an acute angle off his left foot, maybe 4 out of 6 attempts. Most impressive. But he ain't big by any means.
Starcevich [?] running laps- he has the solid build of a Rugby player. Wow.
