Not sure what Gaff is gonna get offered per year, but he might earn half of next year’s wage sitting in the stands...

We may have avoided the Sainters curse.

In normal circumstances we would have signed Gaff for $2mil pa for 10 years and given up our first pick for 2018 & 2019 along with Gresham, even though he's a FA because we were convinced WC were going to match our ridiculous offer.

And then he would've smacked Brayshaw in Round 1 of 2019 and received 2 years suspension, as well as being jailed for 7 years on assault charges.

That's the St Kilda way to recruit

If that happens we might snag Rozee and another couple.

I don't think players can be traded... think of the time it would take to negotiate with a player, etc (no medicals) when there will be a max of a few minutes before selections.

The best we could hope for would be their picks (maybe a 2019 1st would be enticing)

Interestingly, our new list manager is an ex crow player. I mean, it's possible that he may have links to Adelaide. So there's chances of potential deals with crows

Is that why we are feigning interest in M King? So that GC dont just do that trade with Adelaide for themselves? Therefore, we force GC to use #2 & #3 on Kings leaving us with the Lukosius pick to trade to Crows. Like it.
