Or we could pick the next Johnno O’Rourke, Toumpas, Tambling, Pickett, Ahern. There’s busts at all positions.

Paddy is nothing like King. Couldn’t be any different. Paddy was recruited as a big bodied power fwd. King is an athletic 201cm specimen. Seriously, may as well compare an outside mid with an inside mid. Totally different.
Ahern is a gun just got ****ed knees. Him and Pickett were GWS having so many picks they just wasted them. Actually a fair few were odd drafting for need over quality by SOS and even Wallace says that the did hardly any scouting on Tambling and grabbed him on reputation. They hadn’t even seen footage of Jarrad Oakley Nicholls from memory. Toumpas was one that seduced by playing senior SANFL as a kid and pushed his draft order up. He was on radio saying he took it too easy and just thought it would all happen for him then injury hit and he couldn’t get going.

Don't think Bruce has any value now unfortunately having been missing for the best part of two years.

He only missed this year. Would think he’d be a dumb move to trade though.

I’m a bit over them campaigners tbh. Do they develop their own talent anymore? McEvoy, Gunstan, Mitchell, JOM, Burgoyne, Frawley, Lake, Henderson, Impey. I hope the club flatlines.

Hawks haven’t got much good young talent coming through. They keep topping up on the back of 5-6 champions who are now ageing warriors.

The cliff is coming.

Asked for a free coke fridge to be installed at Moorabbin. Club obliged, pretty much the only reason he's staying.

Luckily it got Hanners in too, he heard it as “coke ledge”.

For a list light on for star power im just hoping we pick the best player at pick 4. Whether that’s a 201cm freak forward or a ready to go mid, I don’t care. Just pick the best player. Simple.

As long as we don’t have the guys who thought Paddy was the best player choosing it.

You are only in footy for a short time , so if he knocks back the money - he can't be all there

1.2mill would make him the best payed player in the AFL and will set himself up for life.

Hawks will pay him way less and will end his career before he wants , same as Lewis , Mitchell , Hodge

Also, the money is guaranteed, a flag is not.

Rankine is better than Gresham.

SOUTH Australian excitement machine Izak Rankine has lit up day three of the AFL Draft Combine at Marvel Stadium.
The silky smooth forward is known for his eye-catching goals — and would’ve certainly stood out to those clubs watching on from the corporate boxes ahead of the draft on November 22.

The likely top five pick narrowly took out the agility test, recording a time of 8.039 seconds, while also placed in the top five in the 20m sprint and the standing vertical jump.

Rankine is one of a number of prospects who could join the Gold Coast Suns and may be partnered alongside close friend Jack Lukosius, with the Suns set to take Pick 2 and 3 into the national draft.

His South Australian teammate Connor Rozee was another who performed consistently throughout the day’s testing, running a sub three second 20 metre sprint.

After earning a late combine invite, Dandenong Stingrays forward Sam Sturt was the clear best in the running vertical jump off his right foot, jumping 92cm.

Vic Metro captain Xavier O’Halloran narrowly missed out on claiming the agility test after Rankine’s starring effort, with the onballer finishing in the top 10 for the 20m sprint and the Yo-Yo test.

Geelong Falcons best mates Sam Walsh and Ned McHenry went head-to-head in the Yo-Yo test, with the likely No. 1 pick Walsh falling one score below McHenry’s.

South Australian draft prospect Jacob Kennerley won the 2km time trial on Friday, breaking the record set by Dylan Moore in 2017.

The midfielder ran a time of 6:04 minutes, breaking Moore’s record by five seconds.

Chayce Jones also recorded a “16 second PB (personal best)” in the 2km time trial, running a time of 6:06 minutes. Jones also performed well in the sprints, agility and running vertical jump.

Potential No.1 pick Walsh finished third.

Couldn't agree more. Too slow. Doesn't attack the man hard enough. Faux tough guy. Poor disposal. Poor attack on goal.

Kind if looking forward to Kent displacing him.

Would love more pace around the footy.
Absolute fake tough guy. Bloke won't stick his head over the pill. Glad someone else see's that. One of the worst players I've seen at this club.

Might as well given you deliver eulogies at funerals before they happen...

The good think about expecting the worst from us is I'm nearly always right. im never disappointed either. When we don't **** things up I'm impressed.

I reckon we are getting Hanners and Kent, no one else. Maybe some matured age rookie.

No other players going to come to saints. We have $$$ but no players wants to come to us.

Look at Essendon, even after this drug saga, players are willing to go to them. I know they were in finals but even we were close to finals in 2017.

I am trying to stay positive but i don't think Hanners and Kent will make much difference. We need outside run in midfield.

Shit promo. But at least they can play.

Our captain is a ******* laughing stock. “Strong in the contest. Pressures. Tries hard”

Plz
Ohh ffs please stop with this s***. Geary puts in and gets more out of himself than nearly any other player on our list.

I wish half the supposed "talent" on our list had as decent a crack at the game as Geary does.

Ask Eddie, Cyril, Isaac Smith or any other supposed gun small forward whether Gears is a laughing stock or not!!

Unf***ing believable comment from a supposed supporter.

Not a fan of Geary. As a player, like everyone he has his flaws which are very noticable. Despite that, no one should take away the fact hes a true competitor, does his job, works hard and offers vital leadership. I feel like hes being wasted under Richo

It's true he's a competitor and a hard worker!
As for the leadership? hmmm....He kinda does in his own way!

Many would ask though is he being...
Wasted or
Protected?

We are doing ok , our result this year was shocking but we put some games into the kids.
We should see improvement from a lot of the younger guys in the team next year knowing what to expect , just guys like Phillips , Long , Marshall , Austin , White , McCartin , Battle are now turning into men after a few preseasons pumped into them.
and guys like Acres , Billings , Gresham and Steele a really ready to take the game on.
I don't know if Hannebery will get back to his best , however he should help develop Hunter , Coffield and Paton.

Even if we don't get our big fish , we should be getting another talented kid into the team and with good seasons from Steven , Carlisle , Ross , Webster , Membery , Roberton , Bruce , Acres , Billings , Gresham , Steele and Hannebery we will be winning more games than using while our kids are developing.
Rankine or M.King
Hunter
Coffield
Paton
Battle
