I see you haven't been around long, (Sept 18) but we are entitled to our opinions Stevo. I have also seen more games of football than you've had hot dinners in your twenty five years, so I would back my level of understanding before yours sunshine. Now the thread has moved on and I think you should too, because your role isn't to tell people what they can and can't post.

Honestly, I’m going to let the 25 years thing slide because it doesn’t really have a leg to stand on in regards to the subject matter, you’re still stating that one player is a complete player based on one moment in one game. I’m more than happy to target more players that play complete roles, that’ll make the team better, however in my opinion Lewy plays his role for team. Happy to move on even though you were the one who brought Lewy back up in the first place though.

Naming a stadium after Liam Ryan might be a bit extreme, after all, plenty of small outside mids can take contested marks. My point is that Lewis Taylor hasn't taken a single contested mark in two years. If renaming a stadium after him is what it takes, the Club should look into it.

Staying relevant to the Thread title, I think we should be looking to offload him in the trade period or at the end of 2019 when he is out of contract. He was well down the list in our B/F this year and I think we can do better..
I completely disagree with your assessment of Lewy - I reckon he is easily "best 22" for us and adds pace, X factor and reliable goal kicking to our side. Not sure why you are so angsty about him but he is one of my favorites and I am more than happy to back him in...

How many games will it take for Lewy to cut out the howler clangers out of his game... hes been with us for 5 years. Cost us two wins at least this year. If he is in our best 22 in two years time we will still be bottom 6.

Diversity of opinion is a healthy thing. Good for you.

Yeah Taylor has really come on under Fagan. Best 22 without doubt

Averages 1.6 per game. By comparison the almighty contested marking beast Liam Ryan averages 2.5. DE 20% higher as well FWIW

Call me a romantic, but I think we should keep Keats.

Will trade for Shelley or Byron

Just realised Tom Langdon is out of contract. Surely he will have some nice offers after yesterday.
Not a good sign when one of your better defenders are OOC at this time of the year. He was huge yesterday and from memory was huge when we played them at Eithad late in the season - was one of the reasons why we only had 3 goals at QT.
The only downside if we're interested, is that we would need to negotiate a deal with COLLINGWOOD!

Taylor cost us two wins at least?
I feel like that would be ingrained in my brain if it was the case. I know that Christensen had a chance to win us the game against Port and Rayner had a chance draw the game against GC and win it again North. So what games are you talking about?

This.

I recall numerous mental collapses, failed chain of handballs and basic skill errors late in close games. I also remember Cox kicking straight into the Dees player and costing us the match. Hasn't just been Taylor with bad mistakes. Every single player is guilty of it - even Dayne Beams.
